The dash looks pretty dusty too.
Stop being so hard on the guy. He got it from the old people and just wanted a quick flip.
If that is the objective then your presentation of said vehicle should be the focus. If not, Why wash it then?
My minivan is cleaner outside, inside, and under the hood.
PS my wife drives it so cleaning seems to be a never ending process..

GN92485 Black/Black Is now owned by me. I am in the end days of S62/6spd swap.
Not sure which one this is. Strongly tempted to sell my 00 manual swapped 540iT to buy this, but I really hate silver. Dying for a Alpine white or Japanrot wagon to build into an M5 wagon.

Because it's silver already, and I got it in a trade deal. If I sell it, I can pay for buying a wagon in the color I want (preferably with the options I want) and buying an entire S62 drivetrain.
I live in the Orlando area, and I made friends with Mikhail very quickly, so if I don't find a cheap M5 I'm going to buy everything from him.
I'm currently slowly collecting black interior parts too, so I can swap whatever I get. In the meantime I am slowly fixing up and restoring my wagon to it's full glory, and retrofitting cool and fun stuff. WIP for an Msport and facelift conversion right now.

I am selling my Sterling / Black 540iT M-Sport. Car is in SE Virginia. I am posting here before I go public with it. If interested, you can PM me at vayinzer@gmail.com for more pictures
2003 BMW 540iT M-Sport Touring (Wagon) WBADR634X3GN92475: $10,500.
This 2003 BMW, powered by a 4.4-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, is one of 182 M-Sport Tourings imported into the United States and the only year the M-Sport package was offered for the E39. Finished in Sterling Gray over Black Montana leather, this is only one of 40 available in Sterling Gray and one of 24 in the Sterling / Black color combination. M-sport options included 66 M parallel wheels. self leveling sport suspension , M-Technic sport suspension, M-Technic sport wheel, high gloss shadowline trim, black interior roof liner, sport seats, M footrest, M sill threshold plates and special M exterior bumpers and trim. Options on this car outside of the Sport Package were rear door sun blinds and Premium sound system with DSP. wagons also used the performance rear axle ratio (3:15) and performance torque converter.
This is a 2 owner, adult BMW enthusiast owned car, that was originally purchased from Crevier BMW in Orange county CA and shipped to Virginia. It has always been in mild climates and is rust free. It has been maintained and has had only correct grade synthetic oil changes at 7,000 / 8,000 mile intervals. The only modification is the installation of Bilstein struts and rear shocks. Other maintenance include rear air springs, rear subframe mounts, sunroof rattle, front suspension control arms and front seat twist. Recent maintenance included valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, radiator, overflow tank, hoses and Bosch remanufactured alternator.
Interior is in great shape. All sport seats function correctly, with no faults in the leather. B-post trim is loose around the belts as well as the ceiling liner is loose in areas. The steering wheel shows wear in the spokes from thumbs, but the leather covering shows no wear. All dash and radio pixels are functioning correctly and the cup holders are intact and working.
Two slight accidents in my ownership resulted in the hood and left fender being repainted. The front bumper cover was replaced (both times) with a genuine BMW part. The left and right front under panels are beat up, as they are fragile and get hit easily. Both xenon headlights have also been replaced. There is a ding in the LR fender lip and other slight dings and scratches that one would expect. Rear hatch shocks (2nd set) are tired and will need to be replaced. Have two keys, but the battery for the remote function has expired and while the door locks function they are “lazy”. Reverse dipping passenger mirror is inconsistent. The rear hatch surrounds ( top and 2 sides) are currently removed. Some of the tabs broke and they were not staying put. I removed them to prevent further damage until they could be repaired.
It currently shows 180k miles. The timing chains have not been changed, a testament to its care. It runs quiet, however there is occasionally a rattle on start up until pressure comes up and not everytime. The tensioner was replaced when I acquired the car at 116k. The check engine light occasionally comes on for an EVAP code. It’s the purge valve in the LR wheel well. Goes off after a number of starts.
Included is all original paperwork, maintenance history paperwork, 2 keys, wallet key, brochures “BMW experience” CD and books, factory window stickers, original dealer key fobs and license plate frames
