There is some good advise here.
RESPECT is paramount, whatever you are doing.
If there is anyone else on the road/sidewalk, etc, abort ALL forms of silliness.
If you can ONLY hurt yourself... then... that's a risk you could chose...
You will lose control again. It's inevitable. It's part of learning.

An auto will never be the real drifter though. It's too full on/off, not enough throttle/torque control finesse.

+1. Also, looks like the OP moved on to an E82 (for a curiously short period of time) then an E92, but is having some of the same "issues". I don't believe he bought the car with a bent control arm for one minute.
