Recently purchased a 93 E36 track only car w/ a stripped interior. I am looking for a commercially made drivers foot well pad with an integrated dead pedal. Have checked the usual sites (Turner, BimmerWorld, TC Kline etc.) but no luck so far. Any suggestions for a source would be welcome.
See post 19 in my build thread (linked in my signature) for a quick and cheap dead pedal. No footwell pad, though.
VAC may still sell the floor panel

You really don't need one. If you are strapped into a race seat, you're not going anywhere.

You can make one fairly easily. I made mine with a built in dead pedal/wire cover.
Lol no cool story friend and I went to a skate shop to get grip tape and apparently that was "grizzly griptape" or something.
I've got my VAC floor pan and Massive Lee dead pedal setup that I'll be listing for sale shortly. I loved it and only selling because I now have a full cage with a built in dead pedal.
Has this package come up for sale and if so is it still available?

I had to notch mine out but that’s not a big deal now. Now I can’t decide where to put the pedal. Looks like you placed the pedal where the angles naturally touch the floor pan. That each much further toward the rear of the car than the stock dead pedal. The angle also looks less steep. Would you have changed it? Hard for me to tell without actually driving.
Correct, I mounted it where it naturally fell with the body and VAC pans. Dead pedal position is largely personal preference so do what feels right to you. I was ok with that position and learned to use it as is. You can always try it and move it later if you don't like it.
I went with the cheap solution and used an OMP pedal that I modified to work with these used MKAH floor pans I picked up from a friend.
Can you take a photo of the gas pedal side? I trimmed and modded the floor pan so that it would fit “under” the pedal. I think it looks better... not sure if it functions any better.
This is our homemade one. Ended up just welding a dead pedal to the cage.
I just came across this thread, this was my solution

Not that I've bought this for myself, but something I came across and maybe would help someone. This piece does look nice.

Flat floor pan with big holes in it? Agree it looks like a well-made piece. Just not very well designed.
