I have an 2002 325i,I feel like I need to tell you everything cause it might help, have the car about two years car was leaking oil I would frequently top it but I went on long trip didn't pay attension they car overheated pretty bad the car was bone dry of oil and antifreeze put in oil and fluid car had heat that day but then next day lost heat, since than I changed water pump, thermostat twice, bled system still no heat,if someone can help I'm hearing it could be your heater core to first try reverse flush before putting in new one can someone tell me which hoses I should reverse, would like to try that before taking on the job of changing core thanks so much
Are you saying the car has:
- overheated badly due to leaking oil
- bone dry of oil
- antifreeze was put in where the oil goes
If that's all true... Wow

2004 E46 325 M56 Steel Metallic Blue - Sold
No, he's describing two simultaneous problems...oil leak and an overheat, which left both systems empty.
Did the coolant blow and leak out somewhere?
Does it now run at normal operating temp consistantly?
What does your ambient (outside) temperature show?
Did you do the bleeding on an incline (nose up)? If not, then try that first.
If there is air trapped in the core, then you won't get heat.
Wait when you say bleeding incline nose up do you mean when you pull the plug on the radiator? I had to replace my radiator, my battery, my alternator, spark plugs, 02 sensor, timing belt all after they repoed my car when it was 3 day weekend. So i got screwed. Now my heat is blowing like the ac. Is on.
Also somehow they broke my sunroof too. Ideas?
First off....your inattention, or ignorance, may have a following for the additional issues also related to engine seizure...including 'heat' that you bring here to this BMW forum, and or any automobile forums with those situations that can allude to your current state?
My first quest for you....if one of your tires go's flat.....do you know that there should be a spare tire in your trunk..and if so, can you perform the task of replacing the flat tire with the spare tire provided?

Perform a cylinder leakdown test to check for damage from overheating.
No oil or coolant, can't believe that engine is still alive!
