Advice wanted - Seat belt - air bag light/warning

2007 750li
left parking light on
battery dead after work.
Boost
lights flicker
engine starts
lights flicker
one warning light does not go off
seat belt tensioner/seat belt limiter/airbag fault - take to BMW centre
Turn car on and off
Warning light remains.
Phone BMW centre and explain
consultant says
likely take a few seconds to get light off
may also take diagnostics ( 154 + tax )and maybe additional charges as per diagnostics findings.
go there after a week
another person takes key
consultant comes back and says key code indicates it needs diagnostics 154+ and additional charges as per diagnostics findings.


There was no problems before battery (1.5years old) ran down(my fault).
Several times previously over the last 7 years same warning light has come on at odd times without reason
and if car restarted warning light goes off
have not seen that light for a couple of years.

My question
What has been your experience ( the BMW centre has taken advantage of me several times that i absolutely KNOW of - BMW centre is the only one in 750 miles)
with this warning light

You say the battery is 1-1/2 years old. Is it an AGM battery or plain jane lead-acid ? Regardless, start by getting the battery fully recharged. The flickering and warning light(s) staying on after boosting suggest the battery or charging system (alternator). Which air bag fault, is it the passenger seat (educated guess)?

Weak and dying batteries always start to show themselves with electrical misbehaviour. All sorts of problems magically clearing up when the battery is sorted.
