Hi,
I just bought my third E32 750 but my first iL version. Got the car for 1300$ due to needed upper oil pan gasket job. OK, done that before... ( i think I've won the jackpot on this one.)
Interior is in excellent shape, looks new, only three owners, 250000km. Runs extremely well, exterior looks good for northern climate.
My question is the car considered a high-line? It seems as if the car has many equipments as standard, compared to my 750i which has equipment added with option codes such as roller sun vizor side/rear, headlight washing, shadow line etc.... The car has the rear Heat/Aircon/Cooler/tables orginal glases/ orginal remote for the Pioneer KEH-M7000 (i need a manual for that one). I also wonder about this option,
S903A Fotofahrzeug, is this an exhibition car?
Here are the specs. and a picture:

Congratulations, you are the owner of a real Highline!
Easy to see from the rear aircon, and the special switch in rear center console from where you can operate the front passenger seat ;-)
Radio was deleted with S831A, just preparation for radio, so the owner wanted to install his own choice.

Fotofahrzeug means in the final inspection there had to be taken special attention to every detail, because this car was for a foto shooting, maybe for car magazines. Or a special gloss polish of the paint? Something like that.

And the original 2 glasses from the cooler box came with the car? Good deal, sometimes they fetch nowadays some hundred $ already and you got the complete car for $1300.
Here is a good list option codes

How did you find the extra option codes you mentioned for my car, S447A? I use http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html. Is there a more precise decoder somewhere?
Wow that is awesome! Congratulations on the purchase.
If there is only a number given in the online VIN decoders I look for example here what it means http://www.bmw-vin.com/sample.html
But all that is not 100% correct, as the option code # sometimes are double. So for example for E32 sometimes it shows ESC electronic slip control, while they actually mean ASC, later that same number was used for ESC.
I like this one I just found : S231A Deleted: 250 km/h limitation

Yes, one can see it under the rear armrest. Armrest up, then there is another cover for the cooler box http://s71.photobucket.com/user/shog...l?sort=6&o=335

Original key to my 750il HighLine? The car has a factory installed Infrared alarm 1989 year. The only keys I have are these, see picture and other pictures of work in progress and done. But would the car have been supplied with even more keys which would include the IR remote? Would those ONLY be the switchblade type? If I find/buy a IR remote control, can I integrate one of these keys or do I need to buy a "Blank" and get the key machined localy? Appreciate any feedback!!

Yours is EURO spec. My 11/88 is a 1989 model. Your 11/89 is a 1990 model. The 1989 owners manual shows that you should have these keys
http://750il.bmw7.hu/owners_manual/images/page_007.jpg
2 are missing. And as far as I know, all 750 came as standard with a remote control, and for sure a Highline.
Do you have the receiver under the headliner? And the anti theft LED in the grill? According to Johan's write-up up to 10/92 http://bmwe32.masscom.net/johan/remo...e_locking.html
New style E32 remote key: Starting 10/92 the e32 received a new type remote locking with the remote more elegantly intergrated into the key
And the module under rear seat. So what you need is http://www.bimmerboard.com/members/q...art%20Nbrs.jpg
The part numbers shown in the pics are partly unvalid/replaced, new
1. 66101390263 infrared key remote control
2. 51211388909 countersunk rivet for the key
3. 51211950394 blank key for IF remote control
4. 66101390655 cover = lower part of the remote control (that is only necessary when the metal part breaks which holds the key stub, so no need to buy a compleye new remote fob)
So you need 1,2, 3 each one.
If you go to a dealer and order the key, you can also order it cut to fit to the original locks. For that you need an ID card and proof of ownership. Or find a locksmith which can make the key fitting based on the other 2 original keys you have.
I checked with your VIN and these part number show up

Shogun,
Thanx you VERY much for clairifying everthing! I'll start looking around for a new (price is expensive) or used 66101390263 infrared key remote control. I do have the alarm led in the dash and IR reciever next to the sunroof switch. Strange that BMW made this difficult for everyone during so few years of production?? I've had four different E34 520i which only were sold in Europe, one of which I had an extra switchblad remote, same partnr 66101390263. Too bad I didn't keep it when I sold the car.
So if anyone out there has a IR remote switchblade key at a resonable price from E32 or E34, please contact me.
ECS has new ones for $193 http://www.ecstuning.com/ES183786/
That seems to be cheapest new one I can find, a German BMW shop sells it at the moment for 172,42 € which is presently US$ 215.00 with today's exchange rate.
That is just 66101390263 infrared key remote control

E32 750i 1991/9 Diamond Black metallic DC07685, 25% diff, parked heating etc.
The only way you're doing that is if you grey-market one into the US. But with that being said, the first Highlines are hitting the magic 25 now, so expect any that show up to be a pretty penny... although the odd one shows up on ebay.de, with prices anywhere from 6000-10000 Euro for ones with plenty of miles.
For example, someone would have to offer me 15K USD before I would even *start* to consider letting go of my 23,000 mile Highline... and even then, unless I knew it was going to a serious collector/enthusiast, I'd still have to give it plenty of thought.
