Can I run 245/40/17 all around on a 97 m3?

I have staggered m doublespoke 17s and was wondering if i can run 245/40/17s all around? BTW I am lowered w/ H&R sports

That is correct, 245/40/17s all around can happen. But NOT on staggered 17x7.5 front wheels.

You'd be suprised what tire sizes some auto-x guys can squeeze on their narrow wheels.

I've seen a 255/40-17 Vitcoracer (probabily close to a 265 street tire) squeezed onto a set of 95 M3 wheels (7.5").

245/40-17 can be put onto a 7.5" wheel, but its a little wide.

yes run the 245x40x17's on staggered wheels. i have done it for years. I have gone through atleast 4 sets of tires that i wore out on the track. Don't worry about the 7.5 front wheels. It works great. I track my car with the same config you are asking about. Going through corners at 140mph and hair pin turns fast enough to push the front end. No problem. No fender rolling. I just put 255 all the way around my car. i got another set of 8.5 17's to put the tires on. I only had to roll the rear fenders.
