I drive a 06' 325i 3.0L I-6
Pretty sure I need 5W-30 ll-01 oil. I prefer Castrol but I can not find it anywhere. The only thing I can find is 0w-40!

Manual says... the key being the BMW LL-01 standard for high performance synthetic oil.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by hundreds of engineers that get paid thousands of dollars for something you bought at Pep Boys because your buddy who doesn't have a job told you it was 'better'?!?

Any oil with the "BMW LL-01" logo is fine. I use Mobil 1 0W-40.

you can always go to a dealership, most of them always have 5w30 for a decent price
