Yeahhh this isn't working out very well... Gauge is wired up as it should be... But I'm getting massive dips in pressure at idle. It'll read fine, in a good range when I'm driving along, but when I hit a stoplight, it drops to zero, starts flashing (would start beeping if I hadn't muted the damn thing.)

About an hour ago before I headed home, I dismantled the filter cap, took the sender off, cleaned everything up (there was thread sealant on the sender, it was sort of cruddy, I cleaned it all out)

bolted it back up, started the car... Idle pressure read very low, but it didn't read zero. Checked for leaks, then shut the hood and sped off. Some time later, when I stopped at an intersection, it started failing again. Idle == "0PSI"

Revving the engine with zero load increases the pressure very linearly. Gauge is almost acting like a tachometer =-\ But then I get back up to like... Freeway speed and it holds exactly where it should.

I'm sort of thinking that maybe this type of pressure sender is not suited to function in this location... I bought the ProSport "Premium" gauge, rather than the standard one becuase it was sort of a cost savings... I would not only have to buy a VDO style sender (because one is not included) but I'd also have to get this remote-mount kit because of lack of clearance... Blarhhhhhhhhhhhhhghghghghgh

MEhhhhhhhhhhhh... Just now reading that ProSport gauges are repackaged "GlowShift" gauges

    http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/

Online social media website user (and I've read in several other places) that these senders are almost universally bad, known to fail...

I am really hoping that I can just slap on a traditional sender that I can source locally, tear off their fiddly bespoke connector and get the gauge the signal it needs, using the wire I've already run.

HAhah holy crap look at this...

    http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/senso...-hose-kit.aspx

That exact item is $49.99 on ProSport's site. The item that made me say "Eh I should just get ths premium one, it is all inclusive!!"

    Wow.

Welp. I am hosed/screwed. Gonna compose a complaint email now I guess. Would be nice if I could just return it, swap out to a "standard" one that uses a normal sender. (((I'd prefer a full refund so I can get a VDO but... yea)))

Unfortunately both the Passport n glowshift gauges have been calibrated to the ridiculous
Specs of 3-160 Ohms. Most other brands out there do not start until 10 Ohms....
