Made little progress with the car over the last couple of weeks, it's been sat in the drive with half the interior in bits.

The reason for that being is to fit the hooks in the headliner for the rear blind. I finally got that finished yesterday.

Nice little oem touch. Most people probably wont notice it, but it's there now haha. Also took the time to remove my rear speakers to see what I can fit in their place, the current ones suck!

However, I'm guessing progress is going to be a little slow until I can find a new job.

The car rips, it gets looks everywhere!

Both cars in the picture are gorgeous, of course I'd like them raised up a bit and more functional. But that's just me.
    Great work!

I had the daily put through it's MoT on Tuesday and it failed on two track rod ends and a sidelight bulb. Awesome. So I got that sorted today.

    Enough red cars?

I was super surprised at how clean the car was underneath. No rust, new dampers, brake lines and the pads and discs still have plenty life left.

Put the original wheels from the silver car on, they've got winter tyres on them, so I should be fine, should we get any snow.

Then put the steel wheels on the silver one to give my Mum back her winter wheels.

I think I might supercharge the silver Touring after having a talk with my Dad. Won't be this year, I'll collect parts and then maybe do it next winter.

I have some good news and I have some bad news.

I'll start with the good. I've got a job! Almost a dream job. I'll be starting a position as a Media Specialist ie, take photos/videos etc etc. A massive part of the job is also instructing people how to drift and drive cars properly. Pretty sweet cars too. I start in a few weeks!

    (That's just two of them)

The bad news is that it's just north of London, so about 8 hours away from where I currently live. So that means the Touring will be getting put into storage until I'm properly settled and know exactly what I'm doing. Really bummed that I won't be able to work on the car, but the job sounds like a really great opportunity that I can't pass up. But on the upside, it means more money for car parts

Finally managed to get the car over to my friends and stored away. So thankful that I'll have a place to store it for a while until I'm settled. Going to order a cover for it so that it doesn't get completely covered in dust and what not.

I made this little timeline of progress with the car. Two years a go, last year and now.

I'm your man to speak to if you want one haha. Eh, a little. A friend helped me out getting the OEM key fob to work, so now I don't have to use the key to open it anymore, which is pretty neat. I'm just about to order service parts for it and fit a new thermostat before I move away.

It will stay standard pretty much until I get new coilovers for the silver one and then I'll swap them over to the red one and throw on a set of wheels if I have the cash. Been trying to find the US cup holders/console since it'll be getting used every day, cupholders would be nice.

Looks like I'll have to start collecting them for you guys haha.

Well I started my new job last month, which meant officially leaving the car behind. But I still have the daily to kick around in.

With help from a friend, I added a little trick mod to my remote alarm. You'll need to click the link unfortunately.

    https://flic.kr/p/pxmyHQ

I fixed my light switch too, it now illuminates as it should.

I also fitted an oem BMW storage net to the passenger foot-well which as been very handy.

And finally, a few photos from work.

    Thanks dudes!

Guess I can update this a little.

I'm settling in to my new job really well. I've even found some people in the area that are into cars so that's sweet. Still no closer to finding a place to store the car, so that's a real bummer. But I'm hoping to find something soon.

Bastien made this quick photoshop for me last night. Needless to say, I love the look of the new wheels. My friend is going to take the remaining Throwing Stars to the polisher for me, he's getting his BBS RS's polished at the same time.

And something I've always wanted for the car is a carbon fibre front lip. I'd love an AC Shnitzer one, but they're rare as rocking horse shit, and extremely expensive when the do come up. Rep would be fine, but I don't trust the quality that much and even then, they're still expensive.

So with the help from my Dad (thanks Dad) I'm going to do the next best thing. Make my own. In theory, it'll just be a carbon fibre M3 lip, which is fine with me, it will keep within the OEM+ look of the car. So I'm going to buy a new lip from BMW and have it sent back home, where my dad can make a mould and go from there. This also means the fit should be bang on as well. Should be pretty sweet.

Apart from that, not much else is happening. Trying to save some cash so I have some bodywork done. Daily is still running sweet. I've got some coin/cup holders coming from the US which I'm really looking forward to. I might need a few more of these, if any of you have them for sale/swap for Euro parts. Pm me.

Depends on what the intended purpose is!

It doesn't look like I'll be using it much this year, so I don't have to worry about anything too much.
