Oh my bad, I was referring to both tb ports. What M14x1.5 block coolant port are you referring to?

Yeah im trying to run from the m12*1.5 to the block port which is m14*1.5.

I wish there was a fancy banjo like our vanos oil feed but went to hose fitting.

This one here is an M14x1.5mm hole for a coolant drain. From the factory I think it is just plugged. A standard GT35R -4AN water fitting screws right in. If you're only water cooling your turbo, I've found this is an extremely easy way to do so on OBD2 cars. The head port IIRC is plugged also. Remove both plugs and screw in fittings, then run your -4 AN water feed and drain lines.

My stock coolant "spider hose" is deleted and my rear head port is blocked off, so I don't think I have the coolant ports you are referring to if you're talking about just hooking up to the TB coolant loop.

Yes I was referring to the tb locations. I have overlooked that block port thus far, thanks for pointing it out!

    Yep, racecar!

It's a pretty nifty little location to use. Then you can just leave the stock TB lines plugged to the TB if you want and just run an SS water line setup to the turbo. (At least on OBD2 cars that dont use the center port for the extra temp sensor).

You can also cut the crimp off an old vanos line and use that and a banjo fitting from the vanos line. This would be the economical way to do it. I'd think we all have many spare vanos lines and banjo fittings.

Yeah stainless water lines is definitely the only way to go. The rubber coolant lines just can't seem to hold up under the added heat of FI.

The smaller power steering line is the same size as well.

Details on spider hose delete? I was contemplating on doing the same.

It should be M14x1.5mm. Double check by peeking under the front edge of your intake manifold to ensure it's the center port. The center one is M14x1.5mm, while the front and rear are M12.

Some more updates today and this weekend - getting really excited watching Formula Drift Long Beach qualifying! Really sorry to see Chelsea DeNofa already had engine problems. I know Jordan is out there right now helping him wrench through the night... Good luck guys!

    Some more progress on mine:

Pulled the car out a bit and took a few status pictures as-is before it goes to paint and everything is changed up.

Still lots of work to do back here:

It is going to stay a 318is forever:

Nearly there on the interior. Need to mount the OBD2 diag port so I can flash super easily on the dyno and a couple other little odds and ends inside. I'll be changing up the hydraulic ebrake setup to a pull-type with separate rear Wilwood calipers, but not right from the get go so for now the old Ksport stays.

Valve cover back from Austin Powder Coating! Happy to have them on board for the 2015 season. Please go check them out if you are an Austin, TX local and need anything done. Best pricing in Austin by far! Really happy with the wrinkle blank finish they did for me:

Subframe and all rear stuff back in and bolted up:

Working on building all the wastegate cooling stuff today/this weekend - a ridiculous amount of Aeroquip teflon fittings and line. Awesome stuff. PM me if you want to plumb anything

    More pictures later today!

Did some water line plumbing today. I went ahead with the -6AN feed setup to a T, with -4AN to the wastegates and -4AN to the turbo, then another T to merge, then -6AN drain. I have realized that Tial doesn't really make the wastegates clockable on the lower portion of the "top hat" because either of the 2 other positions you could rotate to move the water ports around would have one water port or another aimed directly at the WG outlet, which will interfere with the clamp/flange location. This means I am stuck with a VERY specific and narrow angle to work with to allow me to cool the upper/back wastegate due to downpipe/uppipe and manifold clearance to #6 runner. I am thinking I may reroute this and send the waster to the rear/upper wastegate first, then loop around to the front gate, then go down under the whole manifold to the T to merge with the turbo coolant line, then to the block with the -6AN line.

Here is what I initially did for plumbing, but this routing would have the front gate feed the rear, then would have to exit the rear gate pointed forwards/towards the valve cover, and then go down and around. I will take pictures of both configurations tomorrow to picture this better.

Feeding one gate through another isn't an issue in case you're wondering... The purpose for the cooling circuit is not really for cooling, but for thermal management of the heat to keep things constant.

    Looks good btw!

Little more progress. I finally found routing that will allow me to get to all the ports. Why on earth Tial didn't thread the air ports as 1/8 npt, we'll never know...

Need to get a couple more -4AN tees and pick a boost control/ solenoid setup to run all of this stuff. Car is getting loaded up today and going to paint for a fresh color match and all new vinyls. No more rat rod / mad max paint job!

Ive never seen anyone use the cooling ports before. Will that make your coolant temps climb?

Supposedly the load on the cooling system is minimal and just helps keep the gates at a more stable temp. I had problems with them seizing before, and they changed colors from red to what you see in one day of use at 28-30psi. I'd really like them to be reliable on the road course even at super high power levels so I'm doing everything I can to keep them happy and functional.

This is an awesome build. I've always enjoyed following your threads.

What transmission have you gotten to hold up in your car? Or are you changing them often?

Will be making some brackets to hold the line off of the manifold for no rubbing.
