Take a can of corrosion protection spray and add into doors, required, over ways your doors will go out in one winter, i've got mine from florida two years ago without any rust on them and after two winters i need all four doors, windshield reseal,
and paintworks on rear quoter panels, sucks but nothing i can do now
have planning to swap my doors soon

Yea, but you forgetting that chicago land is way more humid then florida

    - - - Updated - - -

Buy the way its not that such a car you should hide in a garage, not with 200+k miles

Besides mileage a no rust car is always garage worthy for winter! Mileage is just a number...

As for rims you think mpars or miglias?

I had a set of 95s but I sold them...

I don't daily drive my car, but it will be driven this winter. I always just throw a sealant on the car before the snow hits. Then everytime I do drive it in the snow, I just wipe the snow/road salt off the lower door panels, fender wheel wells, the trunk, you know the typical e38 rust spots with a spray wax when I parked it back in the garage.

    I don't know men, i cannot say that i don't like m-pars, but i can't say that i like them either.
from ^those two i more like miglas, but its not the rims i could put on mine,
    I like e66 rims on e38 which are 19"s and 20"
i do like some of 18"s too but not all of them

Nice pickup. I prefer the M-Pars over the Miglias. Do you still have the style 175s that are in your signature pic? I really like those on the E38.

    I have 3 sets of 19"s

for 17" rims if they are all the same good size for 7 will be 235/55-17
those wheels are directly from 5 e60 and tires good for 5 but for seven they're to small

    Pictures?

On another note I drove her to work today which is a 60 mile round trip. The trans feel is there but rpms dont really move together with the little shutter it has. Maybe motor mounts or trans mounts? Also noticed and aftermarket MAF can this possibly cause this?

Yeah aftermarket maf is horrible. It's not producing sufficient air and fuel flow.

Ill take a pic. At least the housing has an aftermarket name on it which I noticed which means most likely the sensor is aftermarket. May grab a VW MAF soon...

You'd need to. Unless you want it running like a dog.
