Looks good. Other than the color of mine, I like that next.
2001 740i M sport Anthracite Metallic
The never ending project.
Dude...$$$Cha-Ching$$$
Have fun!

Changed oil with Castrol 0w40 and Hengst filter, New driver front window regulator and added the black seat plastics. Regulator was not broken so I am assuming the motor went south. The motor acts weird and struggled to bring the window up without help and would continue to run if 1 touch was used and got to the top. Also, i found brand new FAG front wheel bearings in ebay for 168 shipped with new nuts and i need to do them...
Fan, yep been there.
What symptoms did you have with the bearings? I have a sporadic squealing or whining pulley type noise and it can be activated during a tight turn. Wondering if one of my bearings is going.

Loud humming type sound while driving...

Interior is looking great! Love it!
Those front wheel bearings are one of the easier jobs you can do. Much easier than E39 bolted on or E46 pressed in bearings. At least that was my experience.
Yeah it isnt that bad...

I havent updated this thread in a long time so figured I would... The carpet is now black all the plastics are black as well. The upper dash is a 750 leather stitched dash the visors, grab handles, sunroof homelink panel is black, the motion sensor cover is black, the rear seatbelts are black (still need to swap in fronts), the seatback covers are black leather and wood stitched from a 750, 760Li black cooled (non functional obviously) folding comfort headrests(have the rear ones too but wont fit due to not having power rear headrests - PM me with offers - pics attached ), replaced the AC compressor and drier, new behr fan clutch, new front driver window regulator, rear bilstein b4 shocks, mounts, dust tubes, and sport springs from a lower mileage car, behr radiator, coolant hose from alternator to trans cooler, used OE AC compressor and behr drier, OE BMW expansion tank, free warrantied autocraft gold 95R battery, rear passenger door handle carrier (couldn't open from the outside since purchasing, rear passenger MID speaker while the panel was off, clean outer headlight gaskets from a prefacelift without those goofy holes, under hood fresh air filters, B&G S2 lowering springs up front, ATE premium one rotors up front and brembo ceramic pads all the way around, new meyle brake hoses all around and BMW high performance brake fluid service and another castrol 0w40 oil change with hengst filter. The aux fan went out again and I purchased a new one that will go in but in no rush as the weather is dropping. Bosch direct fit upstream 02 sensors in the box(13477) waiting for install, just ordered all 4 control arms up front (meyle HD uppers and rein lowers) sport stabilizer bar bushings. I scored a 4.6is engine which I am plotting to fix pending it only needs guides and everything else pertaining to that job(slow project) and drop it in my 7. Also have an m62 non vanos intake manifold (I think this one is considered a DINAN?)with all new gaskets I need to install. The car is running great and has been my daily all summer (not bad for 250k (35k on new guides and vanos). Oh and an 88c tstat that need to go in as well...

Those are style 101.
Looking great as always!
Nice find. I have a royalrot shorty sporty (or is it sporty shorty?). I simply love this car. 63K on the clock when I bought it. Now showing 87.5K after a trip to the west coast from Chicago. I just cannot stay out of the drivers seat. Think I need to replace suspension. Really starting to degrade.
Developed a squeek from the front passenger side I noticed when going speed bumps. Diagnosed it as coming from the ball joint on the lower control. I knocked just about everything else out on the front with the exception of the control arms and stabilizer bar bushings. FCP had a sale on Meyle HD uppers for $56 on one side and 57 for the other side(not sure why the price difference), so I jumped all over them along with Rein (made in italty) lowers for 43 one side and 50 for the other (again, no idea why the price differs per side). Also purchased Genuine sport stabilizer bar bushings (22mm) since those are the only ones offered in that size that I am aware of. New xenon leveler as well...

Yeah this was the last part. Everything was surprisingly still tight but it has like 250k on it and I havent done the front control arms since ownership. I already did TRW centerlink, tie rods, FEBI idler arm, lemforder sway bar links, bilstein B4 struts and all associated mounts (lemforder?) and HR S2 lowering springs. Rear was already done as well a year or 2 ago with TRW and lemforder parts bilstein b4 shocks. This was the last to complete...
