^^ Great shots. Dig the hatch with the glowing rotors! An Imola E46 with a cinnamon interior and factory 19's is also on my short-list. Love it.
I'm all over the place with editing lately and I'm finding a pattern. In 6 months to a year from now I'll likely not be doing much editing of my shots, but for some reason I feel like a big kid with fancy Instagram gear lately. I go back and fourth. I know it looks very amateur, but I don't have an explanation. Anyone else find yourself going back and fourth with editing styles, or maybe shooting styles? Maybe it's a weather thing....
Anyhow, I went to Woodward Ave. last Friday, and of course the now world-famous Woodward Dream Cruise was Saturday. I shot 795 pics with my 5d, and probably 50 with my Minolta. Busy the last couple of days, I have a lot of stuff to go through. I also have nearly 20 rolls of exposed film sitting on a shelf. Derp.
I know I shot the front of this thing earlier in the day, but since I can't find it it's either on Tri-X or Portra 400, lol.
Was sooooo dope. Gold anodized ITBs. (!!!)
All sorts of wild stuff this year. Some dude flipped a full-size Chevy van upside down, put wheels on the bottom (tucked inside), and he made it drivable. HOWEVER, upside down he couldn't see out the front.....so it goes backwards and he looks out the back. I didn't even see it, but it's all I heard about.
Stole this shot from the Detroit News page.
Lots of stuff though - La Ferrari, Martini 918, etc.

Thank you! Yeah that Hatch was Flyyyying man, was pretty hard to get that shot that crisp (could still be crisper).
As far as editing goes, i am also kind of on both ends of the spectrum. I try to shoot things how i see them. Not sure if its because im lazy, but so many hours go into editing, and although the end result is nice, editing is not always fun, so i try to avoid it. Although I wish i was shooting Full frame, my 70D does great, but sometimes i have to heavily edit things just to get it to how i "saw" it. If There is something i want to emphasize, or want to isolate i will reflect that in edits, but other wise i just try and compose right and most of my edits, are small increments (-/+) of the basic stuff; Shadows, highlights, contrast, vignette, etc..
I am working on a Set of Shots here in LA that, I forget what the photography "genre" is, But its basically a landscape shot that has a touch of human kind, more often than not, old machinery or towns, water towers, something industrial, etc.. I play around with that idea here in LA as there is not much that isnt concrete; Obviously these are edited, but they felt right for what i wanted to display:

But like when I shoot Cars, I like a more Clean out of the Camera Look, For the most part,

Those look great, I dig 'em. Love the gradient on the first two. Works well.
I think the thing I'm most annoyed with when I edit, my sets are usually all over the place. I have no consistency.

I've tried it before, but never with much luck. My lighting tends to constantly change, and I'm guilty of shooting during the absolute worst hours of the day. Lol.

I mostly shoot in aperture priority these days, but I do flip it over to manual from time to time. My old 5d doesn't hold a ton of highlight info begin with, and it blows things out pretty easily. I do underexpose from time to time, though no more than a stop. I think my problem is that I do most of my shooting out walking around. Sometimes for hours on end, covering several miles. I also don't have auto ISO, so sometimes I don't pay attention to that. Used to do lots of tripod stuff, only shooting in manual. Now I just set it and forget it, but I cover lots of ground. I don't care about the 'tech' stuff, I just like to look at things.

10-4.
If you set a consistent white balance upfront, that will also help mass editing.
I'm sure others can comment that have a lot more experience than I do.

Yeah, I just use AWB. I don't really mind editing things individually, but I assume it looks very amateur having things all over the place. I guess that's it.

Thank you!
I dont think that is a bad thing. I do that too. As long as you know what you want to pull out of the image, who cares. especially if you can get two different sets out of one shoot haha. But one thing that help me cluster my edits together as far as Lighting and White Balance is just copying the settings from one Picture to the next, and then just doing small corrections to get a nice uniform set. I use Lightroom both on my imac and phone. My 70D has Wifi so i can quickly grab a picture from my camera, edit it on Lightroom on my phone, and if i am at a car show, send it then and there to the owner of that car.
I have used CS for a long time but i find my self not needing to go in depth that much with editing anymore, not unless i need to do a face swap lol.
Word, thanks.

Let's see the engine bay of that red Hakosuka!
That rear bumper and tail light surrounds are CF. I forget what the front had. I'll probably send in some film to be developed this week, maybe the front of the car turned out ok.

That's a mean looking FJ. Single light source?
SCS F5's on the first one?
