Hi guys,
This is my first time posting on this forum.
I have an engine problem with an '08 X3 3.0d (M57TU2D30 engine) that no one seems to know the fix for.
When I start the car in the morning, after 1-2 minutes at Idle rpm, the car engine begins to slowly shake from time to time and when it does this, the engine speed decreases and the increases again. This is very important, the issue lasts until the engine reaches the optimal temperature. After that, no more shaking.
This is what i've done so far:
- i've checked the fuel injection system and everything is ok.
- i've checked all the vacuum control - even changed the AGR.
- i've cleaned the engine intake
- no errors found on the original BMW DIS
- i've even updated the car software with the latest version available.
Please see this video
.
Hopefully one of you encountered the same problem and can provide me with a solution because no mechanic seems to know what's wrong with this BMW.
Thanks in advace guys and I look forward to your answers.
Hey
Did you check the codes at the OBDII...?? to see what readings you get?
I've did a full system check. No error codes!
Hi Helionsi, did you manage to find the issue? I have the exact same issue and it is really annoying
Probably a leaky Valve Cover Gasket leaking oil into the Spark Plug Well, the oil burns off once it reaches running temps. I am dealing with this problem and was told it was the gasket. How many miles?
