Going to give the slicks a run this week. Don't have front runners. But only going to rip them hard in 1st and 2nd gear to avoid the slick walk.
Then im going to compare drag radial slips to slick slips. It will be a cool experiment.

If the car feels stable you better stay in it. Plenty of people have done it without crashing so you should be able to also. I'm sick of excuses

From what I hear its not till over 100 it gets wacky. I have seen many do it also. But they trap 100-110. Im good for at least 125. That's a big difference on the top end.

Bring them here. I'll do it. I'd almost rather break my car now anyways. Haha. The season is over.. Pretty much

dont be a pansy... Just put your foot down and stay in it. I have been wobbly @ 147mph on the top end because I had 9psi in my slicks... (NOT FUN) Just make sure you have enough air pressure and you should be fine. 12-18psi I would guess.

Will let u know how it goes.
Slicks do well in the cold? Say under 60* ? I know the drag radials suck in the cold.

Slicks do lots better than drag radials. They both just need more heat. The colder it is, the longer the burnout you need. You will be fine. basically you spin the tires until you hear/feel them really starting to grab and cry. And try not to spin in one spot, slowly move forward, so you are cleaning the slicks while spinning, not just sitting in one spot the whole time greasing them up. Try these things, and you will do great. Also check the slicks wear pattern after the run, or after a test burnout. You want the slicks to look worn or have the melted rubber all the way to the edge(if that makes sense) this will help you set the proper pressure for the best footprint possible and still have as much air as possible. More air in the tire gives you more control and a faster trap speed(not much, but every little bit helps) More air is safer, so start on the higher end, and work your way down.

What size are the slicks again? And how much does your car weigh?

8.941@164.33 All bmw driveline, stock ecu. Also, if I remember correctly, david tran had a T56 tranny for the 9.05 run. Not saying that doesn't make it legit. I will likely go a similar route for my E46 M3 since I plan on making more power than the e36.

    11.9 @ 127.17 tonight.
    New personal best trap.

Could not fit the slicks. Will need fender flares. This was in drag radials.

    New personal best.
Today is Import Face off @ new england Dragway. I said F it and entered into "forced induction sport class". First time racing with a protree.
    I qualified, can't believe it.
Can change me to a 11.75

    Update****
Made it to round 2 by default
I will gladly take the win.
