Wow thanks for posting! Interesting stuff. Looks like he's pretty much copying the construction of the E65 onwards ventilated seats. That white honeycomby stuff is the 'air distribution layer' stuff I mentioned above. Doesn't show in pics if he put holes in the heat element and padding - maybe just blowing through them? Need to have a good read with Google Translate. Now I want to do this even more!

I have the same idea in mind to retrofit seat ventilation some day in my E38 and after googling a lot I discovered, that computer ventilators can be used instead as they are being powered by 12V the same current like in any car.
Also getting computer coolers would be easier choice when considering diameter, as they come in various sizes, thickness, frames etc.
So in general 16 coolers would be needed which can cost roughly 1-6 EUR a piece. Wiring is simple: positive and negative terminal, plius two fan speed controlers would be needed if you want to adjust fan speed. The rest is simply the price of your time and labour and depends on creativity placing all in.
