It's been a big week! I just rec'd from the UPS man a strut tower brace, cold air intake, and complete suspension kit from Dinan! Brace and CAI installed, hoping to get the suspension done this weekend.
Treated the letter with some griots leather care
Not sure if this is only local or not, but O'Riley is running a mail in rebate on Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 (AKA the purple stuff). I picked up 2.5 gallons for $35 after the rebate.
Installed last week in Wifeys M3 Vert... she is happy with cold AC air blowing for the toasty Las Vegas summer.

Big week for the '98!
Just rec'd the vinyl wrap and tools, ordered all new door moldings, new front center impact strip, stupid expensive side skirt gaskets, and new badges.
I'm hoping to take a million photos and create a thread after we're done of the process for wrapping the car.
I am selling a 516 dme that was on a s50 engine. I can sell it with the miller war chip with a turbo base tune as well as a performance N/A tune or a turner performance N/A chip. If anyone is interested let me know.
Over the last few weeks I finally got my car up and running again after a few years down. I replaced the siphoned the old gas out of the tank, replaced the fuel pump, completely overhauled the cooling system with a Mishimoto aluminum radiator and aluminum expansion tank, Stewart water pump, 80 degree thermostat, metal thermostat housing, new radiator fan and fan clutch, and all radiator hoses. I also changed out the serpentine and a/c belt tensioners, pulleys, and belts, flushed the brake fluid, recharged the a/c system, got 4 new tires, and finally put the e46 M3 manual/heated seats in. Still need to go back and figure out the wiring for the seat heaters, but now that my garage is 90+ degrees, I think I'll wait until the fall.
I ran into several minor/moderate headaches along the way, but the nightmare was shearing a water pump stud and having to drill and tap the aluminum engine block. Thankfully I found out that one of my neighbors races dirt track cars and has an entire shop full of tools that I didn't have.
I splurged for the Schwaben Cooling System Evacuation Tool and it was phenomenal. It helped me realize that I needed to put some more turns on my hose clamps to fully seal the system. Then I put the probe into a bucket of mixed coolant and had the system filled in a couple of minutes and didn't have to bleed the system. I just had to take a couple of turkey basters out to get the system to the right level.
I had completely forgotten the sheer fun of driving the car. As soon as I was certain it wasn't going to explode (mostly kidding) I put the hammer down and got a huge grin on my face!
Borla exhaust, Conforti CAI/Chip, Power Pulley Kit, B&M SSK, H&R Coil over suspension, X-Brace, Racing Dynamics strut brace, Mishimoto aluminum radiator and expansion tank, 80 degree thermostat and metal t-stat housing, Stewart water pump, E46 M3 seats, Braided stainless steel brake lines, Black Fikse Profil 5s wheels.
She wanted some Low Beams, pretty cheap week for her.

Relatively expensive week for me considering I was trying to keep this as a weekend/summer car (wrecking my daily last week has changed that...). The girl is getting new front lower control arms and poly bushings, brembo rotors in the front, a re-built driver's front caliper, posi-quiet pads in the front, fuel filter, oil change and spark plugs. Also picking up a voltmeter (because I should already have one by now) to check and make sure battery and alternator are up to snuff. Oh and some Chevron Techron to run through the system once I change the plugs and filter.

More chrome interior bits... LOL it started with just the dial trims but seems to be getting out of hand. I know some purists will disapprove.

Rustproofed and winter shoes installed for the off season (although I only take it out to zip around a little on cold dry days until winter is over) because decades of experience have taught me that my summer cars are better off NOT hibernating completely for the winter.
