The chrome door handles are the only thing remaining from my 97 lux....i wish someone would remake the one touch sunroof close switch. I still have mine but ever since I removed it, it wont work!

Back in the day, someone made a one touch sunroof open/close module called "Sunroof Eclipse." Its not a BMW option, it was aftermarket.

Yes, I loved mine! For some reason, I removed the module and it was never good after that. Ran it for 10 years or so with no issue

Oh man, I'd be in to buy one too. I got into the game so much later than most of you guys I missed out on a lot of those awesome fixes that disappeared over time.

Though I DID get lucky and find some of these from someone here long after they'd been discontinued:

These cup holders just destroy the factory ones - one of the best "comfort" mods I've ever done to the car.

But I digress - that was a couple years ago.

My addition this week was a Mason race bar:

(Ignore all the wax overspray - I was buffing my flip project E32 next to it and the buffing compound got everywhere)

So many people have claimed no benefit that I wasn't expecting any kind of improvement to the thing.

I actually got the bar because I had some damage to the driver side front shock tower a while back and have been looking for a Mason brace on the classifieds just to shore it up post-repair.

But it was a dramatic difference - far more than I can feel when I take off the X-brace. I got it for an amazing deal, too (and even better given that it's the aluminum version).

    ...

It's amazing to me that at 245k miles on the clock this car just keeps getting a little better every year.

-Josh: 1998 S54 E36 M3/4/6 with most of the easy stuff and most of the hard stuff. At least twice. 271k miles. 1994 E32 740il with nothing but some MPars. 93k miles.

Oh boy it's a big list this week!
    Dinan BBTB
    Mishimoto rad
    Mishimoto Overflow
Mishimoto fan, controller, and shroud kit
Stewart water pump (my pump is fine but if everything else is getting changed...)
    fan delete nut
Turner power pulleys (not alternator, I have a lot of amps... and convertible)
    Silicone rad hoses
UUC Evo 3 short shifter with DS
    M50 manifold
    M50 install kit (Turner)
    Schrick cam set
    Supertech valve spring set
2 new 12.5mm wheel spacers (one of mine is cracked after 5 years)
    guibo

Lots of work, and once this is all done I'll upgrade my clutch and flywheel (want to see how it feels with these upgrades first)
...and lastly AA stage 2 SC but that may be near the end of summer.

I purchased a new glove box light bulb and 6 NGK Ruthenium spark plugs. I figured I'd try put the new alloy plugs from NGK.

I bought an M3 for my e36 this week! Actually I just had it delivered home by flatbed after having actually paid for it last week. It will crank just fine, and it hits and runs for a moment on a squirt of ether. Oil level is good, and it has plenty of fluid in the radiator (yes I checked before I tried cranking it.) So I ordered up a fuel pump module from ebay, and I will swap it out early next week after this round of rain blows through tomorrow. So, I will embark on the journey of making it driveable again, since it has been sitting since 2013. It has 187K on it, and it has a rebuilt title, but all in all it actually seems to be a solid foundation for a fun build.

I just bought the OEM seat rail extensions - part number 52108191181. I'm quite tall, I wonder if they are gonna help. We'll see.

I just got new side molding, OEM for between the front and rear wheels. Also just got a set of DEPO Euro glass headlight housings and LED bulbs for the high and low beams.
Also in the process of rust repair. Purchased Alpine White III Paint from ECS, it's a perfect match, very happy with the results.

    Yay!
I just found and bought a replacement for the wheel I destroyed 2 summers ago! ACS type III 18 x 8.5!

When I wrecked the wheel I could not find a replacement so I had to buy a pair of 19s... I have been using 18 front and 19 rear (235 40 18 and 235 35 19 so same rolling diameter and width) in the summers and 235 45 17 square snows on contours in the winter.

While the 18/19 mix looks aggressive, I will be delighted to be square again... Shorter sidewalls in back makes her a little to happy to oversteer LOL)

Not sure yet whether to sell the pair of 19s or keep them just in case I tag a curb sideways again...

Cleaned the bay and some other parts. I also made a right motor mount for the turbo.

I purchased Hikari Ultra series for the low beams and DDM Tuning 50W Sabers Pro headlights for the high beams. This was based on the recommendation that I read that the Hikari bulbs work best in projector housings and the DDM Tuning bulbs work best in reflector housings. I am extremely pleased with the DDM Tuning high beam bulbs, they are insanely bright and a perfect color of diamond white. The Hikari bulbs are also insanely bright and the same perfect diamond white color, but they trip the low beam failure code as they are only 28W. The high beam bulbs pull enough power to no cause a bulb failure message. Additionally the high beam bulbs are much smaller and fit in the housing a lot better. They fit with the high beam cover on the DEPO housing installed. Neither bulb was small enough to fit in the low beam side if the DEPO housing with the cover installed. Clearly only a halogen H1 bulb would fit.

I am however super happy with the results, the light output is world's better and they look so clean. I just have to be extra vigilant to not flash anyone, the high beams are stupid bright.

Today I got Ground Control front camber plates. I can't wait to install them this weekend.

Swapped my perfectly good 5 year old shocks for Bilstein B8s and the stock sway bars for the beefier Turner ones and had a shop weld in the rear sway bar reinforcement plates. (I don't trust my welding)
Also replaced both of the TPS units trying to solve "DME code C"... Turned out to be throttle cable adjustment though LOL

Ahhh well I hit a snag a tuner, and I have a few track days setup. I might put this on hold or up for sale.
