Putting Into Neutral With No Power

My battery is 100% dead and will not hold a charge and I need to push it into the barn so I can do the manual swap. How can I put it into neutral with out any power so I can push it? I could get a battery but I am too cheap for that right now and will be acquired once the swap is done.

My 525 is a stick but can't you just unlock the wheel with the key and foot brake it and put it in N?

Possibly the key in the ignition would unlock the auto selector, I did not try that but will do tomorrow (just turned dark out). I am just use to Hondas where there is a port next to the selector to unlock it and thought it was strange there nothing like it on this car.

My parts car is an auto and I think that worked. Seems like the logical step to try :

Yes, the interlock is mechanical, turn the key the shifter ought to unlock
