I finally got around to replacing 51218399245 on the driver's B pillar. Finally, the lights go out when the door gets closed! These cost $200 today--I bought one two years ago for less than half, I think. IMG_1289.jpg
Thanks to SunzOut for the great tutorial, way back in 2012.

Plans to perform some modifications, but starting with some basic maintenance items. Nice weather for a drive today. May chase the neighbors M2 Comp later this evening.
Just brought her back from the paint / body shop. Front respray, shaved the license plate holes, and ACS replica splitters painted and installed.

I've had my 2000 Z3 Coupe for about 6 months. I've done some maintenance and installed this Clarion radio inspired by Matt Farah's 911. I love the design of it, but the backlight was a super bright white and was distracting. I took apart the face plate and added a few layers of red and orange transparent film until the color matched the rest of the orange interior lights. Next is to swap the TSW wheels that came with it for some original style 42s or 32s.

Not a finished Z3, but making progress. Front subframe is in, rack, and front coilivers, and finally finished mounting the remote reservoirs for the dual master cylinder setup.

Finally got around to replacing the gosh, darn awful aftermarket radio with a cd43. Also retrofitted bluetooth and installed some brushed aluminum rings for the HVAC controls shipped from a gentleman in Poland!

Finally nice weather and got a chance to clean her up. 02’ 3.0 with 78,000 miles. It is an automatic, but I had no choice due to physical health related issues. No regrets choosing the automatic. It’s not sloppy and “indecisive” like the transmission on my old 1.9. My 1.9 never seemed to know what gear was right. Have had her nearly a year now. Coming from a 1.9 the difference is staggering. I had no idea how much of a difference it would make till that first drive.

First time posting, hope it comes through! Pat
Hit a roadblock with my front suspension install - my AKG control arm bushings seem to fit at the very end of the control arm shaft vs centered. Anyone else have these that's experienced a similar fit issue?
