    For ProClip users . . .

For those using the ProClip phone holders - I know this is a “no drill” solution. Do you find the pressure of the clip design to indent or damage the leather “hockey stick “ trim along the console over time?

    Thank you.

Excellent question. I couldn't find the answer and wasn't about to find out on my own car. This was the exact reason I passed on one and went with a Panavise.

I have only had mine installed for 6 months and don't have extended leather but so far, no indentations on the hockey sticks. I was worried about this but have a spare set of hockey sticks if there was an issue down the line.

From the images below you can see the "clipping" points. It does not sit flat or put pressure on the front of the trim, just goes around the edge. If there was going to be indentations from long term use, it would be very minimal.

Personally, I am very happy with the clip

I would think the non-leather Z3 pieces would fare far better than the leather M versions. I have a set of each in the parts bin, and the Z3 versions are much harder vinyl without the give of the M versions. Just my $0.02. Perhaps either would plump back to shape eventually.
