If that is a dirt floor, I would put some plastic down for a vapor barrier. Moisture evaporating up under your car is not your friend. As a General Contractor, I always made sure that the garage floor had a vapor barrier down before the concrete was poured. Moisture will evaporate right through concrete. A dirt floor is even worse.

Actually it's pavement millings. Concrete next summer. Partial vapor barrier under M2 and shoe

Spring cleaning

Now time to fix the yearly power steering leak after winter storage. Who wants to guess where it's leaking this time?

My power steering reservoir always weeped down the side. When I refreshed my hoses, I replaced the reservoir. I drilled and tapped the top of the cap, then inserted a brass fitting. I plugged the vent hole on the side of the cap with silicon. I then attached a rubber hose straight up with a piece of cloth over the end with a hose clamp to keep out the debri. No more mess.
