Leaving Pax River, MD on Wednesday afternoon, there was a topaz coupe headed the other way. It looked good, wish I had been driving mine.

I saw these three fine looking ///M Coupes at the Pelican Parts C&C a couple of weeks ago in Rancho Palos Verdes. I also saw a silver Z3 coupe turning right from Crenshaw to PCH as I was turning left onto Crenshaw.

From the photo gallery, it looks like there may have been a few more coupes there, but they must have arrived after I left.
A little late--spotted a Dakar Yellow Z3 Coupe at the gas station where I was filling my Dakar Yellow Z3M Roadster last Thursday. Hearty waves were exchanged between us DY brothers..
Call me Mel. Some years ago- never mind how long precisely- having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me at home, I thought I would motor about a little and see the other parts of the world. It is a way I have of driving off the spleen and regulating the circulation.
Was removing my car cover the other morning and heard a nice exhaust note running up my street, (which is a neighborhood pass-through to access other areas of Santa Barbara.) Looked out as the car passed, and hell, it's a coupe, a Silver M Coupe. It took me at least a minute rushing to get the cover off and car out onto the road, but I knew where he was headed, more or less. Gassed it through my neighbor hood and toward the beach/villiage, guessing that's where he's headed. Finally caught him in my sights down a long hill with a light at the bottom. Came up behind him and I could see him looking back, but not much other response. There were two big dogs standing in the back, and he had Montana plates on it. Hmm, maybe I should just let him go on his way and quit bothering him. Nope, followed him to the Wilcox Property, where dogs run free in SB. We got out and introduced ourselves, he was 40's and friendly, but told me he was currently on a conference call (had the plugs in) so had to pay attention occasionally, then he told me his Coupe story.
"Yep, we drive it down from Montana to winter in Santa Barbara every year. This is my daily driver. Has 177k miles on it. Bought a Black on Black when they first came out but totaled it in a snowstorm, so I bought this one to replace it in 2004. Never had any problems with it, and as you can see, I use it as I would any other car." It had scratches on the back bumper form the dogs getting in and out of the car, and the black interior looked like it had been used regularly. But overall the car looked nice. "I'd like to get another Black on Black before they get too expensive. They're going up in value but they're still affordable." He said he didn't look at the forums much, but that there was a lot of great information there. I told him where i lived and how I spotted him. "I drive by your house about five or six days a week to take the dogs out. I'll stop by some day if I see your Coupe."
Pretty cool, a daily driver. It's always fun to meet another Coupe owner. Or another person who appreciates nice cars of any vintage. Unfortunately I did not have my iPhone with me, so no photos. Maybe he'll stop by and I'll get one.
My wife and I were walking near the Dana Point harbor in Dana Point, CA on Sunday December 4th around noon, when we saw a snazzy black Z3 coupe looking for a parking spot.

Just saw a nice looking silver S52 M Coupe with Rhode Island plates and blacked-out rims at the Aliso Viejo Cars & Coffee. Didn't get to meet the owner
s52 spotted outside a Grandy's with the windows rolled down in Carrollton/Dallas, TX. Time for a wash buddy.

Couldn't attest to the stats... just noticed that the M emblems were flat and it seemed like the shadow chrome was of the lighter variety, so I presumed s52. I didn't get out and inspect, so maybe not.
I just noticed that in the photo, the Phoenix Yellow car has sidemarker lights. Is that a Euro-spec car? That's not stock for the US market.
