Picked up a very nice set of 18" staggered Style 32's for summer use, arrived via FedEx today from an E39 forum member:

Real nice!!

Beautiful. Looks like you put some large rotors on the car as well.
Thanks guys, I'd been looking for 18's for awhile, I was very pleased to find these. Bought them from E39 forum member BMW540san, who was exceptional to deal with.
Just stock 740i rotors, nothing fancy brake wise, other than ceramic, low dust pads (practically a requirement w/Style 32 wheels).
Cheers.

Daaaaaayum, that's a fine upgrade over the stock rims!
32s are one of my favorites. they look period right on the cars. I had to settle for 16" style 5s from. e38
I guess the 93 740 came with bigger wheels than my 90 735. My stock wheels are 15" X 7 and I know my rotors are smaller than what is behind your new wheels. Did the 740 come with 17 inch wheels? Also you said they were staggered. Does that mean they're like the Alpina B11 E32. 8 1/2" in the front and 10" in the rear?

93 740i also had 15" x & Style 7 wheels as stock fitment.
The new wheels are 18 x 8 235/40/18 ET20 in front and a very meaty 18 x 9 265/35/18 ET26 in back.
For the record, these are E39 wheels so they require hub rings to adapt the E39 74.1 bore size to the more standard 72.56 bore size.
I have a set of 17" x 8 Style 32's that I've been running with all-seasons on them, they'll be my winter wheels. The car has H&R lowering springs so I installed 1" bump steer plates (huge improvement in ride btw), which the 15" wheels won't fit over.
Here's 17" vs 18", the difference is more obvious in person.
Speaking of wheels, I also installed a new M-Sport Steering wheel:

A bit of a long shot digging up an old thread here. I'm interested to find out how much more lip the 18x9 have over the 17x9 style 32's

According to BMWWheelStyles.com, Style 32 17x9 wheels have an offset of ET26, same as my 18" wheels, so the lip should be the same.
Post up some pics when you track down a set!
