I used it one time to align the gear on my Z3 M54 exhaust cam. I had to do this because the shop that reworked my head loosened it for some unknown reason. And being a procrastinator it took me a year to get around to putting the head on and found it then, too late to get them to make it right. Of course the main use is for timing the helix gear when you put it on aftermarket cams, most people don't have the bs I ran into. Turner sells this for $99 plus shipping, I'll take $80 shipped to lower 48. Here is a link to the tool description.
