Rebuilding this car is going to cost a fortune
Parts car.........
Honestly he just stripped a good running e38.. Wrong car to do what he wants to do with it.
I mean if you're going to gut and rollcage an e38 what's the point yes it will be lighter but this cars design is not what this is intended for.
Why not just gut a 240sx or an e36 m3??

Got the engine lift today! Ready to get to work.
I own mostly junk. Except the Porsche, that's kind of cool.
All the motorcycles are trash which you can read about at

I'll update it eventually
Thansk
Ready to remove the engine and transmission mounts. But later, it's way too hot out, I wish I had a garage with AC. 😢

I remember seeing a Guy in Thailand who did this to a 750il I think He spent about $100,000.00 in the end to build his car it was Beautiful !! ( course he was a multi-millionaire I believe )
That was a crazy build. He imported the car in pieces. The best was seeing half a car start up and running. He had some cool older volvo's aswell.
I have a few comments about this to the OP.
Publicly saying you ran from the cops is the worst thing you can do. They can and might just request your info from Bimmerforums and haul you off to jail. (request ip address then goto ISP to get other details).
Why would you strip a e38 just to put a "rollcage" in it? As others have said it's pretty pointless, UNLESS the car will only be on a track, Which you have said otherwise. I highly doubt this car will ever see the road again. And no one should buy parts from this guy to fund this project. He is pretty Shady it seems.
Her's the link to the Thailand car ,That car is just Bad Ass http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...ngkok-Thailand
Well. It's 3am and I'm still out here just taking things out. I'm done with the interior, all of the interior, and the engine bay, I just have one stubborn screw that is really tough holding the front cross member for the suspension.
Lol im with Binjammin on this one.
You guys know how it works. If OP wants to tear down the car and put it back together, that's his business. He seems to have thick skin and can take you giving him the business. Just don't cross the line of attacking him personally.
I have taken two of these apart down to the shell. No better way to learn about them. I would never try to put one back together but if the OP can do it, good for him. He won't be discussing any further illegal activity so let's leave that alone as well.
I'm kinda enjoying this. I just don't know why?
So... how much does the shell weight with nothing in it?
