    E39, swapping rear pads/rotors

    Have any of you done the rear pads and rotors on your e39?

    Is it any different from the front. Will the ebrake make any difference on the work needed to be done?

    Rear rotors and pads

    I did rotors and pads about 5K miles ago, they are basically the same as the front except for the e-brake. The adjustment for the e-brake is behind the rotor once you remove it.

    Make your adjustment so the rotor can just slide over the small pads for the e-brake w/o rubbing.

    I also read on another forum about bedding brake pads after installing new pads and rotors. See below.
