When the rear subframe cracks

I notice there are a good amount of M Coupes that have the rear subframe that cracks. Is there anything to prevent from this happening? Is there any links out there that has preventative measures than having pics of cracks cars and then repairs. Are the 99s more prone to the crack than 2k? From looking on 368s.com and referring to another site, looks like 99 had problems only and the 2k is rare.

From what I remember:
The problems showed up across various years, and models, and on cars with various levels of modification from bone stock to a track set-up. Some believe that Ireland Racing bushings may help as well as a butt strutt, and/or aftermarket rear sway's.
