Installed passenger side seat belt. Admired the seat twist in my drivers front memory seats. Dreamed of the day when the car will be all fixed.
I should rig a pulley system so i can crank them from the front. Steampunk E34!!!
Get that A/C fixed. I remember having to drive around in my E30 with a non functioning A/C in 38º summer heat for a week. Never again.
The E34 blows nice and cold. People are amazed how well it works for a 20 year old car.
Post the failed reports. Maybe you don't need new cats.
Pulled the silver-grey parcel shelf out, spray painted black, reinstalled w/ new upper seat belt trims. Looks way better, but tough to take a good picture of in any light.
Changed maf, measured coils (all out of spec lol) and checked plugs which need to be changed
Removed, flipped to the proper orientation, and replaced the spare tire in the trunk. Installed a new retaining ring and wing nut, both of which the PO had lost.
That's it for today (jet lag from 8 timezones, got home yesterday).
May really push it and install the weatherstripping on the LF and LR door bottom edges

Installed a cheap eBay keyless entry kit.
Got OEM rear tail clears to replace the ebay ones.
Realized my 535i has developed the "hot start" issue. Now I need to track down a fuel line check valve.
I need to figure out where it's leaking down, maybe one of the injectors is leaking, or the new 255lph fuel pump was installed improperly and it's leaking past a seal in the fuel sending unit.

Minor project day yesterday evening, lots of little nicks and cuts on my fingers today.
Swapped the center (above radio) vent, from a totally busted unit to one in perfect shape (wasn't the most fun); figured out why the dashboard top center vent isn't sitting flush (broken tabs, seems common); replaced all four door rubber weatherstripping with tear-free used units, had to cut two of them and splice in extra material due to age-shrinking, but it looks 10x better now.
And new ///M sticker on the intake manifold. It's the little things.
Speaking of little things... I installed two pieces of door weatherstripping, two plastic push-nuts that hold the trunk insulating panel in place, one of two glovebox hinges (the other ear on the glovebox is broken off and missing), and assorted plastic fasteners in the cabin. Attempted to install fog lights and found the PO's curb hit had been severe enough to rip out the (missing) left mounting bracket and its attachment points entirely. Time to buy a lower bumper cover, mounting bracket, and who knows what other plastic bits. A lot of work just so I can get that "F/FOG LIGHT" warning off the dash...
That's enough for now. Cool but 100% humidity and I'm pouring sweat just doing such light tasks. The air barely feels breathable :P

^FWIW, my car is missing fogs and has the error, I plan on installing bulbs and the $15 per side OEM delete panels
that's one approach but you still have to spend some money, and work, and at the end you have bulbs you can't use...
Anyhow I put a good 10" Polk subwoofer in a box with an Alphasonik Autosub amp I've had since the late 80's. That amp has been in several of my BMW's over the years. A nice little unit if you're not into "Boom Cars" :P Went back out in the humidity, stuck it in the trunk and wired it up (signal/turn-on cable already run from the head unit by the PO so just power to the battery and a ground wire was all I had to do).
Now the Blaupunkt CD sounds great. Even though I don't drive the car because it's not registered/insured yet

Repaired 2 blemishes in the dashboard. At least I hope it can be considered a repeat. I need to see how the silicone looks when it's cured and trimmed.
i also removed the front lip (e32 brake ducts) because I was sick of having disagreements with the entranceway to my work. Between scraping on the way in and on the way out and constantly having to resecure the ducts it was just getting old.
