I've been reading your wheel bearing posts with interest. Unfortunately I had to pay someone $600 to do mine last month as I recently moved house into a room/shared house no driveway/garage living arrangement and needed it fixed urgently.
I did something similar, but had a hard time fitting those one piece filters in an aussie car (steering column in the way and I really should have bought the two piece style).

I went to clean my washer fluid tank but found I have two sensors. One sensor is in the side of the tank but disconnected and the plug that should be connected to it is on a second sensor tucked down next to the tank. I'm assuming the PO got sick of the low washer fluid warning and decided to never let it happen again, by buying two sensors and making one say it's permanently full.
Having withdrawals so I guess it is time to order more parts. Picked up one of the last new rear bumper covers from BMW just before I left. Cylinder head should be finished any time now although I won't be able to pick it up until the spring at the earliest. I ordered a set of windshield wiper bushings to fix the wiper arm rubbing the hood. I'm going to need a month or two off work so I can put everything together by the time I get back.

Photobucket sucks!
Long live the E34!
Took my Billy Boat exhaust off, put the stock one on and installed the ACS badge. Need to repair my ACS skirts at one point.

Not that I even have the money right now but are you gonna sell that exhaust?
Picked up a skybox for my other car at lunch but like it on the e34.
Who's ready for some adventures?

Made a stupid video of mine on YouTube.
Searched Craigslist for "BMW" within 500 miles and haven't found an e34 that isn't rusty in the past month....
Okay, let me try this again....
Just got back from a long trip (roughly 3,000 miles). Drove from our home in Harriman, TN (near Knoxville) to Dennison, TX to visit an old friend, to Albuquerque, NM, stayed a week with my in-laws, then drove back to Dennison, then back home. Flawless!

Today I finally got to check whats up with hot air blowing all the time.. There was couple things going on at the same time. Temp dials didn't have backlight. It was all the same problem..
DIS showed that nothing IHKA works. No dials, no solenoid controls.
All it took - resetting connector on a back of hvac panel. I'm not sure why, but there was bad connection. Looks like this specific connector is prone to issues? I did set/reset it couple times, sprayed with deoxIt. Seems like it's all working now.
DIS shows temps, everything looks correct from what I can tells.
Also! Stop fiddling with those temp controls, it's all electronic Wheel Hot/Cold on top is also electronic!
Took me forever to locate the E46 M3 210mm output flanges for the diff. Alas, they arrived and installed diff back into the car. Even spinning the driveshaft by hand to install the hardware the rear end turns much easier with 3.62 gears compared to 2.93. Excited to feel how useless first gear is :-P
The engineering in the back end feels completely foreign, like out of this world alien race technology....it's just weird.
