    commonly asked Question 1--- why are there different flow rates for the sme injector.

    Answer ---- most injectors are referred to their flow at a common bar (psi) such as 3 bar(43.5psi) but they are capable fo flowing more or less by simply changing the bar(psi). or in most cases not all cars used a 3.0 bar fuel pressure regulator they varied from 2.5-4 but can be tuned up to 10 bar with a adjustable fuel pressure regulator. so to let the buyer knwo what to expect on their car I list the different flows for the SAME injector using higher/lower pressure.

    Question 2 --- whats the difference for bosch design 1 vs 2 vs 3.

    Answer ---- Well Design I injectors were introduced in the mid 70s and design didnt change till about early 1990.They were basicly all metal with plastics tops and a single pintle.Most engines that were non dohc came with these until the design II.

    Design 2 and 3 changed to a four nozzle design that atomized the fuel instead of simply squirting it in.Both are plug and play.Both designs are 4 nozzle but design III are one piece all plastic manufactured to within 1% of specs vs design II half metal/halfplastic housing manufactured within 2% of specs. basically design III are same flow just longer lasting tighter specd injectors.Also set of 6 is a full 1/2 lb lighter then set of design II. So you also getfur raze car!

    I dont bother with design 1s because the cores are likely almost 30 yrs OLD! Design 2s probably no newer than 15 yr old cores......... so I only design 3........ newer more design and takes the same amountof work as the others to rebuild.


    I guarantee asgainst DOA and full a full year. They should last a good 6-8 yrs before needing another rebuild.

    I have never personally had fitment issues with any of these from m20->s5x->m6x . Ive installed easily over a hundred sets and sold nearly a thousand I would say. So long as you lightly lube the oring and ensure it seats properly you should not have any leaks or other issues. Now there have been cases of people being clumsy and tearing orings or not seating them properly but that again is user error. Thank you for your interest senor.

    I was going to ask the same question my pink tops are fat and these are nice and skinny, as long as you say you haven't had any issues do you have a set of 6 #4 blue tops 24# in stock?

    To all those wondering about the pink top injector fitment: the stock s52 injectors are called type-II (metal), the updated versions above are called type-III (plastic). They save you about ~1/2 pound in weight for all 6 and they fit fine. I believe the same o-ring diameter and filters diameter, though there is not a pintle cap to break and lose like the type-II's just a small plastic retainer to hold the bottom o-ring on..
