Yes, my daughter pulled it out too far and now it won't retract. I'll check out ebay for a repair.

I am curious as to how well the repair approach works -- what aspects are repairable vs non-repairable? My left 1/4 sunshade broke; the screen itself seems fine, but at one end of the bracket there was a small screw and that broke off (see picture). My needing-repair sunshade is available for anyone that wants it... When I got the car last summer the shade was broken, so I replaced it with one from Ebay. That is the one that then broke. I didn't want to throw another ~ $80 or so at it for a used part so I ended up splurging for a brand-new one from the dealer.
