Actually he knew exactly what I was talking about. I mentioned the the foam, he said he knew about it. Even when I picked it up the one guy said " you got to it early before it got too bad"

Another 5700 mile cross country Bimmerfest trip is in the books.
It started a bit interesting, A dead deer came spinning out from the car in front. I ran over it 40 miles from home. It ripped off the O2 sensors so I had to go back home for repairs.

I had an extra harness with connectors and spare O2 sensors. After a 3 hour delay everything was back together and most of the blood was washed off and I was on my way again.
First big stop was the top of Pikes Peak 14,114 feet

Next high spot was Wolf Creek Pass, if you know the song you know.

    Then on to 4 corners

Then on Friday before the show I drove around Glendora canyon.

Then at Bimmerfest. (I never take many photos)

    5 S62 swaps. 2 E38's and 3 Tourings.

And one of the many IN-N-OUT stops

Hold on, you were in Colorado?!
i could have meet you for a coffee or so)))))

    .....
i want to build a metal cover/shield underneath the car to replace plastic splash screen and make it like M5 does all the way to the tranny, no more dead deers or raccoons will be able to rip misc stuff from under the car that way

I believe they are the Euro post facelift tails..... I don't know why people like them, to me they look like faded reverse lights, maybe been out in the sun to long. Because I have them but I prefer the sharp, clean look of the Us versions...

I think it depends on the color of your car. I have a silver prefacelift and have bought the depo smoked corners. I have been going back and forth on whether I want clear or smoked tails. Trevor's tails are almost a good compromise because I don't want a dark smoke.

Pre-facelift. They're hard to find now.
I'm the exact opposite, I hate the "crystal" look. These have a clear lense with a clear diffuser behind they match my Depo light smoke clear front perfect.

Good thing you didn't meet up you would have already pulled the M62 and would be looking for a nice S62 as a replacement.
