The two piece bushings were a piece of cake to install - can't imagine trying to press a one piece pu bushing into the arms.
Re:RSF Harshness is a concern with going to the Powerflex because I have not been able to communicate with anyone that took that route. I think that your approach might be the answer that I am looking for. Thanks for your initial post. Will probably be getting back to you as I get closer to the install.

Are the Lemforder bushes liquid filled like the thrust arm bushings in the front suspension? The Meyle HD are not.
Yes, the Lemförder bushings are indeed oil filled. After removing the set I put in 89,000 miles ago, and replacing with them with identical Lemörders, I just proved to myself that the oil is still in even the worn ones by poking a hole in them and watching the oil come out. BTW, the ones with 89k miles on them were still sound, only hairline cracks on the bottom of one of the fronts, and the car was still handling and riding well, but there has been a distinct improvement since I put the new ones in on Saturday. Call it somewhat more composed yet also somewhat more compliant. Lovely.

Just to let everyone know, the tool is back with me, cleaned up and ready to go to next user. Cheers!
I'll step next in line if it's available. I'd love to knock this job out next weekend.
Cool, I'll send you PM to get this going. Thanks.
I think that I have determined why I could not find anyone with experience using Powerflex bushes in their E39 Touring. Powerflex USA responded that the subframe bushing they sell only works in the E39 sedan and are not to be used in the Touring. Powerflex UK responded that they do sell an E39 rear subframe bushing when I quoted their USA people. I had no desire to become the third leg of this "confusion stool" so I ordered the solid HD Meyle bushes today from BavAuto for $59.95 each with free shipping and no sales tax.
Yeah. Thats a known thing. Thats why we wagsters use the M-HD's.

Lol, wagsters. I like that. But yeah, Meyle HD FTW.

Would like to be placed on the list. The car is on jack stands and new bushings are in hand...
The tool just returned to me yesterday. I can set you up for the rental. Will PM you shortly.
It left me clean and ready to go! I was done in less than 2.5 hours, start to finish. Very complete kit; I used soapy water as the lube. Would've been shorter time if I had a functional floor jack, but mine was giving me fits so had to use a bottle jack and stands.
Jed,
In case you're not checking your PMs...check please.
Just got home. Will handle business in the next 30 min.
