FS: 1990 BMW E30 325is 5-Speed Manual Coupe SoCal Car from New

This E30 was sold new in Los Angeles and always remained in Southern California. It is obvious that the car was a regular driver, never abused, and always well serviced. The current owner purchased this 325iS about 10-years ago from his BMW mechanic who is a mutual friend of ours. He is a long-time BMW enthusiast who wanted a fun part time car that he could drive daily and use for some local autocross events. So, upon purchasing the car, he had his mechanic go through the car and install a new water pump and timing belt as well as upgrade the entire suspension system. Enhancements included:

    H&R Springs
    Bilstein Sport Struts and Shocks
    Upgraded Swaybars
    New Clutch
    E46 Short Shifter
E36 Control Arms with upgraded E36 bushings and lollipops.
    Dinan Chip

Unfortunately, with his busy work schedule traveling out of the country, he rarely got a chance to use it. He kept it covered in a dry garage and had the oil serviced on a regular basis. We just had our local BMW specialist inspect the car and he said it was a very nice example. The compression test results were very good:

    1) 160 2) 165 3) 160 4) 160 5) 165 6) 160
Although the timing belt was replaced less than 5,000 miles ago, it has been 10-years. So, the owner is having the timing belt, water pump, and thermostat replaced as well as an oil service.

The car is in very good condition. The paint is mostly original except the passenger side fenders and door, which were repainted due to the car being scratched. There are minor imperfections but it looks pretty good for a car with 170k+ miles. All the panels are original factory panels with the factory VIN decal. The interior is equally as nice. It is all original. There are no strange odors and it was a non-smoker car. The driver seat has minimal wear on the exit bolster. The dash has a few slight cracks as well.

The car drives amazing. It is very precise. The upgraded suspension makes the car feel like it is on rails. It revs freely and shifts like butter. The owner has an extra set of after-market wheels with Bridgestone tires (see pics) that are available for an additional fee.

This BMW comes with the original owner’s manuals, tool kit, jack, spare tire, sunshade, and extra key.
