    Yeah I just came across their site and see they have a hardware kit for the e39. I also noticed you can still get the 1.0 that is an exact fit so thinking maybe just doing that and saving myself a hassle since it’s better than stock regardless. I need to do the adjusters and figure why not just do the projectors while I am inthere

    Yes that's a good time to get everything done inside the headlights.
    I think 1.0 the mounting was plastic, and 2.0 it's aluminum, plus a lot brighter.
    I would personally not consider 1.0, but to each his own.

    I’ll have to dig into the differences more. When you were doing the aiming/testing how did you power it? And did you use the stock ballast or get a cheap one to save the stock one from damage

    I powered it with a spare car battery. If you go through that thread I posted from bimmerfest, I included everything I did there.
    I used aftermarket ballasts that are brand new, nothing got damaged.
