Really good for street tires. On DR, it would do better. And that turbo has lots more in it if you turn up the boost. Very good first run.

It was a good run. We have been waiting a while for you to break into the 11s and go over 125. Now you have to set the next goal.

So let me start off by saying thanks to everyone here (especially you NEDers) haha to get me motivated to go to the track it was a BLAST. I told you I would come home with no excuses about not wanting to break something yadda yadda, and I don't. I will say that the driver needs improvement haha but I will blame my tires for some shitty 60' times haha. The funniest part of the night was that all night long the announcer guy in the tower LOVED the car. He couldn't stop talking about it, although he kept saying he doesn't understand how I'm trapping over 125 and still running low 12's........(I think he was saying I suck at driving hahaha) He kept going on how there is something BIG living under that hood haha. At least it showed my wife how really impressive a car that her husband personally built is. Kids LOVED the track which is a huge bonus. My daughter is 2 and wanted to know which car she can race haha, oh boy, this could get expensive! Anyways back to business, Ill just go with my two best runs, although I did trap over 126 on a run and of course can't find the slip.....I need to check under my seats again.

    60' trap mph
    2.19 12.18 125.88
    2.22 12.22 125.91
    2.17 12.26 125.43

My first three runs my back tires were over 40psi.....WHOOPS. Apparently my tire gauge is no good. Lowered it down to 32psi to run the 12.1 and 12.2. I'm mad at myself for not paying more attention to launch rpm's etc. I was really just going by feel which probably won't help too much in the long run. I should have tried to nail down my best launch rpm but didn't , next time, this time was more for fun I guess. My biggest problem you ask??? I think my gearing/tire size is the worse. I didn't think it would happen but sometimes I was hitting the rev limiter before I crossed the line (which was very poorly marker, I mean come on, there should be a huge F'ing checkered flag saying finish on it). All in all the experience was great, I have some ideas for things to try next time to improve etc. Nothing beats getting back to the lanes after you just completely distroyed and unsuspecting fellow racer and having them come compliment your car. A lot of friendly people there, especially one (maybe Russian) kid with a Nissan GT-R with about $25,000 worth of add ons. He ran a 11.4 and said he wasn't even trying haha. He couldn't run any faster or else they were going to kick him out for no roll bar. Oh and congrats Butters on your 11.9! Also , I think the announcer talked my car up so much my wife isn't totally against me buying drag tires haha. Not sure it will happen this fall but it WILL happen!

Sounds like a great night. I wish we had commentary from the peanut gallery in the booth.
Looks like you bumped me on the trap you SOB. My best for the night was 125.90 . Phil and I have got to go to this L valley track.

Absolutely, I'll let you come to my track haha j/k. I'm about an hour and 20 minutes. If you guys didn't want to drive all the way home you can come drink here, errr I mean sleep here haha. Oh I also found out on the way home, there is a gas station about 5 minutes from the track that sells sunoco 110 unleaded for $8 a gallon. That ought to let me turn up the boost safely.

Dam I paid $13.75 / gallon for ms109 last night.

Now I need to come up with a next realistic goal.
I think im about out of trap speed for this old motor. Not sure I want to run anymore boost than I am. The smart thing would be to drop in a S52 but why take a good running motor out. I guess I could experiment with slicks.

LOL it's always funny to go out to the hick dragstrips. Their 11s cars trap 110mph. They were pretty surprised when i trapped 126 and only did 11.6. Thought i was sandbagging so that I wouldn't have to put in a rollbar, haha. It's just because their drag cars launch so much better

Yeah. I already have a roll bar. When they asked what I would run I said low 12's. I guess I was right haha

You know what. I'm not even sure which discs they are. ICS ordered it for me. But I can slip it if I want to

Yea, it was fun. I'll def. do it again. Next time I'll take the other 7 though. 18" wheels and 700lbs lighter with a higher stall speed torque converter should get me into the 14's easy.
