Not "Nailed" yet. But practicing.
The clutch I use is a monster to drive. Also an ON / OFF switch. So high rpm slip can't be done. In time I will get this down. Just wished I started doing this in June not August.
I expect you to come out in September 7 th for text and tune day Flyer

You make some good points. I think shifting may have something to do with it. I've gotten pretty quick with shifting.
Also, it may also help that I get instant boost after a shift, while you have to wait a tiny bit for spool. Slower shifts would only make that worse.
Do you have your 11.9 slip from that night? We could compare 1/8 and 1000ft times. My bet is that I beat you to the 1/8.
The slip is in the car. I am usually in the 7.7 to 7.9 range in the 1/8.

E85 is in MA, 45 miles from NED in Epping, NH. There are E85 maps you can google. Unfortunately the track sells VP fuels but not E85.

I have slips for two runs on August 6 when you and I lined up, but I do not have the slip from your 11.9 run when you were on the drag radials.
Run #1
60' me 2.145 you 2.124
330' me 5.463 you 5.675
1/8 me 8.005 at 101.71 you 8.370 at 93.75
1/4 me 11.936 at 132.00 you 12.525 at 121.43
Run #2
60' me 2.089 you 2.126
330' me 5.402 you 5.624
1/8 me 7.915 at 101.77 you 8.343 at 93.05
1/4 me 11.815 at 132.97 you 12.517 at 120.42
Find your 11.9 slip from that night and compare. With more practice on the drag radials, you might have done better. I think the more predictable power from the centrifugal makes it easier to launch.
Yeah, I didn't have traction on those runs.
Here was my good run:
60: 2.061
330: 5.295
1/8: 7.883 at 97.17
1000: 10.097
1/4: 11.944 at 123.14
Yeah, so we were just about even at the 1/8. You beat me by about .1 at the 1/4. Just seems strange to me that an additional 10mph trap only gained you .15s over me in the back 1/8.

Phil drives with A/C on, texts me in between shifts and still rips 11s . Also drives with full tank of gas. Full interior and weighs in @ over 3400lbs.
Im jealous.
BUT Butters had been learning how to launch this bit$h clutch. Also has tune for big boosts. So we will see.

I have lost to cars in the 1/4 in terms of ET but killed them in terms of MPH.
It is much harder to put down close to 600 rwhp and 600 lbs rwtq from a turbo than to put down 500 rwhp and 400 lbs rwtq that are metered in rpm by rpm by a centrifugal belted to the crankshaft.
With better traction and better driving, my car could go high 10s. Yours could be quicker also. I have seen cars run in the high 10s at 123.
The 1/10th second does not seem like much, but do the math for the 2nd half of the track. In 4.1 seconds, you picked up 26 mph. Tn 3.9 seconds, I picked up 31 mph. At 120 mph, you are going 176 fps. 1/10 second is more than a car length.
You will get to the end of the track quicker by going a tenth quicker than by being 10 mph faster. This is why real 1/4 mile racing is ET driven, not mph driven.
If you could see a video of the race, it would be obvious that I was walking away from you fast after the 1/8. If the race had been further than 1/4 mile, the gains would have been greater.

That's my best for this year, only other mod is 5 speed swap.... and get small stuff fixed while slowly building the block I have for next year. Too much obligations right now.
But..... my build is going to be....
S52/m54 crank
Wiseco 86mm s52 compression piston
Displacement 3.1
Stock s50 or s52 cylinder head
Gt35r..... When Phil ready to sell. Lol
Then next year my ranking WILL go up! lol

Are you guys hitting 5th gear? I was looking up the gearing and it looks like I should be able to do 132mph in 4th so in that case I would not. Just wondering

I run the 3.15 diff, modified by Butters to a 3 clutch and upgraded with stronger cap bolts.
On 235/60/15 drag tires, 7200 rpm looks like 143 mph. My best trap is 134.5, which is about 6800. I have room to go.
If I changed to 275/40/17 drag radials as I am considering, I could go about 141 at 7200 in 4th.
If I get a bigger turbo and find myself hitting the limiter in 4th, which is unlikely for a full interior air conditioned street car on pump gas, I would go down to a 2.93, which would be good for 151 at 7200 with 275/40/17.
My peak power on my last dyno was about 6700 but it dropped only slightly to 7000. Unless I change cams, I'd like to cross in the 6400-7000 range based on my last dyno chart. I need a new dyno to verify with. Hopefully soon.
With the 3.15 and my current 255/40/17 street tires, I hit 7200 at 137 in 4th. These wound work for my current trap speeds, but don't offer enough traction for NED.
Alright. Well I don't know anyone better than you guys to guess.....so what do you think I will run for a time. Closest person wins. Doesn't matter if it's over or under haha. Supposed to be like high 70's at race time I believe. 245 series falken tires, guessing around 525-550whp. Full interior etc. I can say I'm hoping for a 11 second pass. Like 11.99 haha. But I realistically think maybe a 12.25? What do you think? Oh and don't worry about hurting my feelings which I'm sure you're not. Haha
