Over my years on BFC, I have got to meet a bunch of great guys here in the NE section.
Some bring their cars to me for repairs, some stop by to shoot the breeze. All and all a great bunch.
Now spring is here, weather is somewhat nice, and the track is open. I thought of a cool idea.
It may work out, it may fail.

One thing I learned is everyone seems to get along, we also take every chance we get to go on caravan rides, and local meets.
some of my favorite moments driving are the caravan rides to BAV and cars and Copters. Here may be another opportunity .
    Purely for Fun,

]I know this wont be for everyone !

My though is why not have our own local fun ? anyone and everyone is welcome.
NOT a competition just pure fun. doesn't matter how fast or slow your car is. If its a BMW and you post a slip, I will update the board.
you will be surprised how tough it really is. there always is room for improvement, both with driving and performance mods.
Only slips dated 2014+ will be added. no posting old slips.

NOTE: as you post you will be added. if you produce a slip with an improved time, I will adjust as needed.
good luck and hope many participate.

    Awesome idea.
I haven't been to the track since my wife and I were dating. I took my old ss impala. She was just saying the other day we should take the 7.
    Is it still on Wednesdays?

Great, could you also remove the "2014" from the title? If your going to keep it for good, then we wont need to start a new one each year ; )

    Thanks dude.

    Yup. Can do.

I might be up for going the last week of April. If I do it on Friday, I might even be able to drag out my friend with his Dinan 7.

You mean the first week in may I hope? I will be going up this friday to watch tho.

    Sounds good.
Im yanking my trans on wed, check out what's going on, changing out one of the discs, then need some time to seat the disc.

The sat/sun test and tune days are also a good option. Its a little more money to race ($40) but you have from 8am till 5pm. There is no rushing, you can let the car cool inbetween runs. Phil and I have found the prep is also better. Much nicer crowd as well.

Wednesday would be best for "most runs in" but usually doesn't work for people. Friday is also good, that way its not a big problem when your late getting home cause the tow truck took all night to get there.
I usually call the tow truck right after I go through tech. This gives me 1-2 runs to break something. The tow truck is usually pulling in as the tracks 4 wheeler is pulling me out.

Might head up to Epping tonight to be a spectator.
Also the mileage will help seat the clutch discs.

I will get some pics, if I can.

Might be going to the dragstrip on Friday pending weather. Also need to make sure that a rear end clunk is not anything very serious... Time to put the 500whp to work.

Hope to be there myself. Not 100% sure I will run, id like to.
It will be nice to get some slips posted and watch the improvements in time and speed over the course of time.

I also may edit the original post and add standings for trap speed.

Not break anything expensive and go fast. Too lofty?

I've never actually taken my car to the track, so I have no idea where I'll be at.

Just checked out my rear axle issue... There is .25" of space above the front subframe bushings (poly). I think that the studs backed out, the nuts are seized onto the studs. Which is weird, because I tightened the hell out of the studs less than a year ago when I assembled the car. I had my buddy drop the clutch with the car in the air, and I can see that the subframe is moving up where the space is. Gotta be the issue.

Well with 500 you technically should be able to crack into the 11s.
Actually doing it is a different story, especially with IRS. Closest I got last year was 12.2 @ 120. I had 2 runs that I would have got my 11 but F'ed up the pass. But did go sub 2.0 60ft.

Yeah, I'm more focused on seeing what the car can trap. Hoping for 115+. No way I'm gonna get any good launches my first time out and it's less than 50deg out.

Good luck to you as well. I'm not gonna run unless I can sort out the subframe, though. Way too scared of ripping it out, even though I do have reinforcements.

Some guys don't care but I like a good crowd... I think a good audience makes it a more fun experience.
