I live in europe and the things that dont break here are the transmissions :P Lots of cars here tow trailers. No problems
I have a 1972 15ft fiberglass boat with a 50hp outboard that I tow with my 2003 530i with no problem.
When I had a 1993 525i I installed a Curt hitch and used to haul it with that.At 297,000 miles the auto trans went out, engine fine.
I took the Curt hitch off the 93 and installed it on the 2003.
I drive a 100 mile trip frquently and my computer on both used to be about 32mpg
This drops to low 20's when pulling the boat.
My local reservoir has parking for about 100 boats, I always have the only sedan in the lot, everyone else needs a 50K pickup.
I love the reverse snob appeal!
