Just passed 223.000 (360000 K's) and going strong. Just regular bmw service. No faults, codes or breakdowns. Went through several sets of tires and some brakepads and such. Still on my oem exhaust. Auto shifting perfectly. Average fuel is around 5.5L/100km (42mpg) after tune. Oil consumption is at 1L/18000K's (a quart per 11.000 miles).

Looking at replacing it with a new F30 or the new C-klasse Mercedes when it is availble as a wagon/touring.

I need help in deciding whether or not I should purchase a 2007 BMW 335i. Here is the story:

Offered for sale by local BMW Dealer: $8,990
    Black on black
    1 owner
    179,200 miles
    Clean carfax
Automatic with "flappy paddle gear box"
    All options including Nav
The local BMW certified dealer is selling the carbecause the previous owner traded it in for a newer BMW
ALL maintenance has been performed at the BMW dealer. The dealer service history is 65 pages long and includes
everything from oil changes to big ticket items.
Water pump, thermostat, gaskets, all injectors, fuel pump, all recently replaced at 170,000
Dealer states the previous owner was a business man who drove a lot, "highway miles"
Car drives like a dream and everything works. I really love this car but it feels too good to be true, considering the engine is the straight six twin turbo, should I be worried about the high miles?

Car is in really good condition with 1 tear in thedrivers seat and a 1 inch scratch on the bumper. Should I buy this car?, is it still reliable despite the high miles? I have to decide by tomorrow morning as there is someone else wanting to buy the car... HELP!!

Did you purchase it? Seems to still have life! I purchased my 09 335i with 97k on it. 8,990 in what currency? USD?

    are slow.
    I my family has 3 e90's.

328i 6-speed has 117k miles on it, stock clutch.
335i with full bolt ons has 141k and dynoed at 438whp on a custom MHD tune. (still has the original turbos). It has run a 11.7 at 118 at the 1/4, which is no slouch for a street car with crap tires and no LSD.
My other 335i has ~140k as well, and about 40k on the single turbo. It dynoed just under 700whp with a 6266 single turbo conversion. Stock automatic transmission, stock engine as well, but obviously has a XHP transmission tune.

Keep up on the oil changes, do them at 7500 mile increments, and replace EVERY hose, o-ring, etc, cooling system piece you can every 5-7 years. They are great cars.

In June 2019, it hit the 256,000 miles. Still on the original battery. Even though the GM tranny has been serviced regularly with Redline oil, sometimes when cold, it has a hard shift going into 3rd gear. Other that regular maintenance, it still runs strong as a daily driver.

Mine is a 2006 with 160K miles and all wear items need attention at once: tie rods, control arms, struts, shocks, valve cover (again), oil filter gasket.... Will expect at least 200K before giving up. My E39 went to 250K with fewer problems.

    201,000km

All the usual issues are either addressed or being addressed (long list for these cars). All will happen by now, if not much sooner, for all E9x.
Regardless of mods, if the "usual issues" are addressed (millions of dollars in 3rd party labor, unless you are a DIY, then it's quite reasonable), the car does quite well.

My stock twins are at 24 PSI by 3000 RPM. (easily over 500hp crank, closing in on that with wheel)
My engine is strong and clean and I'm expecting 300,000km at further raised performance levels.

If the car is loved and you buy it all the diamonds it wants, it puts out for a long time.
Neglect a simple thing like an oil change on an N54 and you'll be burying the car quite quickly.

200,000km can be either flawless or trash.

I just picked up a 2007 335i 6MT Sport with 190k for $2300 last November. I've put new front struts in it, new plugs (was breaking up under boost when I got it, plugs solved that), a new coil pack, and am now replacing the boost solenoids, as I'm getting an intermittent low-boost condition. It also needs a new VCG and OFHG. But, I've put 5k+ miles on it since I bought it, and it has been terrific. I bought a used AccessPORT and installed a STG1 tune. For under $3k, it's an incredible car. Interested to see how long it lasts. Definitely not the highest mileage E90, but up there for an N54, I think.
