Question 17x8.5 SSR Comps, do I need spacers?

I recently ordered a set of 17x8.5 comps and I need to know if I need to run a spacer. I tried to test fit the wheel, and it will clear the strut w/o a tire on it. I'm afraid that with a tire on it, it will rub. (Oh, I'm using a 235/40/17 SO-3).

Do any of you know if it wil fit? I just want to make sure before I pay for spacers. Thanks

Find the Offset. I'm able to do 255/35/18s on 18x8.5 ET 38. You should be able to do the same with 17x8.5 ET 38 and 255/40/17s if you wanted. Offset is key here, and if you have fenders rolled, more clearance...

sounds like a 5mm or 8mm spacer might be in order...

I'm pretty much dropped in the front...so you might be better of, however I do have a decent fender roll.

If you are only doing a 235, then who knows, otherwise I deff know a 255 would need a fenderroll.

    I think I'll be ok with a 235 S-03. Anyone know?
