    I'm in Northern Virginia, Fairfax area. Wasn't a fan of the shifter, i wanted a lot shorter throws and more precise shifting. Sold the BMS and picked up an AKG race shifter and i absolutely love it.

    Well, because they made a certain amount of e36s brand new during the 1990s and haven't made any since. Every year cars that are totalled, scrapped/parted out, blown up, etc. contribute to less and less e36s in the world. Since they are no longer being made.....

    ok well that makes sense, I was thinking it was something more drastic. Essentially that holds true for all cars for which production ceases.
