    My 1997 M3

Well, first real build thread I've done so don't be too harsh on me.. Picked up a '97 Techno Violet M3 after selling my 1995 Hellrot M3. Seems like everyone and their mother has an E36 now, anyways onto the build...

Bought it with 116k on the odometer and some simple bolt ons (Dinan CAI and UUC twin canister exhaust). The M3 now has 118k since it's been sitting awhile getting the whole rear suspension/subframe replaced. All polyurethane bushings in the rear now. While that was happening I ordered a set of BroadwayStatic coilovers. Thanks to Peter for all of his help! Have a set of wheels on there way from Germany... Anyway enough talking and onto the terrible iPhone pictures

Here it is the day I got it

Here it is four months later...

Terrible roller my friend took, I think it's kind of cool though...

That's all I have for now, but will keep updating as I go. Thanks for looking!

So my wheels are being shipped from Germany...

Terrible pictures, but they are the sellers photos so nothing I can do about it. Huge thanks to @angelmisskitty! She sourced these for me and they should be here by the end of April. The guy that owned these previously has had them for the last 10 years... Specs are 17x7.5 5x120 et34. Doing a rebuild on them so stay tuned.

Will do! These are OZ Futura's.

BTW does anyone know of a place that aligns lowered cars.. I'm in Northern Virginia, but will travel about an hour or so to get it on a rack somewhere. No one does them around here and my alignment is so off. I can't even drive the car.

Nice choice on wheels. Pretty much the top of my list. As for the alignment, maybe ask over on vwvortex too. I know VA has a huge VW scene iirc.

So this happened the other day....

Tried my best to pull it back in

Is this fixable? Or will I need a new fender? Willing to take it somewhere, but where should I take it if that's needed...

Its definitely fixable but I'd take it to a body shop...they may have to use bondo to smooth it out. At the moment, I'd get touch up paint tho.

Thank you! I put it down way too low just to see how it looked.. tried to drive it out of the shop and I turned the slightest bit and I just heard it rip out the inner fender. Then I proceeded to roll it out and that was the best I could do.

All photos are done by my buddy Chris. The car needs to be a lot more low in the front, but I didn't wanna mess with it too much due to my new alignment.. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What springs do you have in the back? I kinda want to see how mine looks tuckin' rim back there ... the old school early 90s way. I could take out the adjusters that are back there, but I'm afraid it wont do it.

I have Broadway Static suspension, I believe they are 4 inch swift rear springs.

Great choice on the SSK. I've had mine for more than a year now with the MM refresh kit and it puts all other SSK's to shame IMO

Yes, one of the best SSK's out there. Didn't really want an SSK, just needed a refresh on my shifter since there was so much play.. then I saw reviews on the product and everyone raved about it so I had to give it a try. I'm looking to purchase a DSSR soon as well, tighten it up even more.

If anyone has any experience with OZ wheel bolts, do you know what I can use to split these wheels? I about the special wheel bolt tool, but those are hard to come by.

Found this on amazon, would it work do you think?
