Looks good!
Thanks guys!
UnrulyGrace, didnt see your car at bimmafest. Did you end up going?
Back with another update, but this time, its finally getting rid of the SUV height! -and another set of wheels
(left is present, but before it finally settled and right is past)
So going back in time to HRE open house
A shot I took of my bro Ralph Frengel's Audi A4
A Euro|Klasse Meet that My brother and I attended...
(he took his touring! haha, still not CA BAR'd)
The starter gave out later that week, so it was fit into the budget and replaced.
The new (to me) rims! Staggered style 32's 17x8j front and 17x9j rear
Stock height though
Old rims up for sale! Still have so much tread, but PM if interested!
Got the okay from a friend, his cars going so he offered his suspension. I couldn't say No!
Shouts out to my boy Joey (Joseph) who is the nicest guy! Goodluck on your searches for the new bimma!
Started at 2:00PM and didn't end up finishing with the fronts only untill 11:00 at night...
But here are some before and after pictures for references
and a side by side comparison.... before/after
so in total, dropped about 3 1/4 inches, and it rides so much better! My old shocks were doneskies,
so these new ones perform so much better and the car handles like a BMW now, so much less body roll haha.
Anyways, thats about it for now, am looking to finishing the rears sometime this week, with a little tuck too
thanks for reading!
Drop all the things! That's a great ride-height, spill the beans on the suspension set-up? Gotta be coilovers?
I think the 32s look much better.
Also, you need a new signature picture.
Salute to another 16 yr old keeping an E34 on the road and reviving it, you're coming along much faster than I am though. Nice touring.
I know huh! haha, thank you... was undecided when reinstalling, but eventually felt it was indeed a great ride height. The susp setup, unfortunately, is sedan H&R Lowering springs, a coil cut on both fronts, and both spring pads removed... Some may not agree, but i personally love the stance/performance associated with them! They feel just as stiff as my boys e34 of Nex coils, so im happy with the outcome. and thanks, may just trade these style 32's for some 18" 32's and repaint them this color... but we shall see. and i agree on the signature pic! hopefully when i get the rears tucking ill throw up a new siggy pic thats edited properly!
Haha, *17 now , but thanks and likewise! Doesn't matter how long it takes, just as long as you do it! Glad your trying to fix the PO's mistakes, and it takes a real baller to do so, so goodluck and have fun with it mayne!
HAHA! Made me chuckle
Hey guys, sorry for the lack of update yet again. Threw a lil house party and got my camera stolen, but got a new one!
Where we left off... Rear = SUV Height | Front = Low
Didn't take any pictures but picked up/installed some carbon ceramic brake pads that create little to no dust! <3
Finally get to drive my car without having blackish blue wheels all the time.
Anyways, got to working on this in the rear.
The rear struts, as easy as they unbolt and pop off did not do so.
Took about a total of 6 hours just trying to remove the strut from the trailing arm.
Eventually decided the whole suckers coming out unfortunately to be able to take the trailing arms to a machinist shop to have
parts of the old 20 year old oem stock strut taken out of my trailing arms ahah.
HAVIC lol
Left is original (and rusted), right is new to me.
Finally got them thrown in at like 3:30 AM haha
Later that day after Orientation for school, fresh brake fluid, and bleeding the brakes.
then finally moved the touring and showed off the "stance" (hate that term)
also with the test fit of my CB radio antenna that i still haven't mounted after 8 months....
Needs spacers :/
She a dirty one
Dont have any pictures, but being so low in the front had its toll. Cracked the oil pan, so i lost tons of oil.
Used the pan off my old motor, brand new lower oil pan gasket, and fresh oil (5W-30) and she runs so much better!
Was at 4,000 miles, so it was time for a oil change anyway
how it sits today
my new tires upfront
my old tires in the rear
running the old 18's to my boy's tire shop!
somewhat new tires mounted
annnnnnnd mounted : )
then of course, alignment which i didn't want to do my self! (just some things you leave to the professionals)
**haven't taken my car to someone else to touch it EVER (except for this one carwash) so it felt weird having someone else work on my car...
Me contemplating the specs on the alignment
-4 Degrees camba in the rear, and ~.7 in the fronts... Toe was adjusted to +/- .15 of 0 So im happy!
oh forgot! also got a new steering wheel and threw the old bus wheel in my parts bin
my view everyday ! the aftermarket wheel changed the feel of the car, driving & suspension wise!
*sorry, left my NOS switch opened (not on though)
So, now that the car was driveable, dailyable, and didn't leak... I went out and took pictures of the turd!
Will update later with all the photo shoot edited pics, thanks for reading yet again, hope you enjoyed!
Rear is too low imo, it had a nice rake going on before
Doing work!
That E30 touring, though...
Kinghorn what coil springs are those in the rear you used? I am thinking about cutting one coil off the stock coil springs, I just want to lower mine just a little.
walk quietly....speak softly....and carry a big stick
'92 525i 5sp , '95 525iT 5sp, '98 528i, '67 Dodge Dart GT , '85 Mustang 5.0 GT, '88 Mustang
'93 Dodge Cummins P/U, '71 Ply Duster, '69 Mustang
Very nice work.
Rears Before:
Rears After:
Wish i could agree, but definitely not. Rear is perfect imo, as the E34 Arches different heights front and rear.
Look at how level my car is, and yet the rim to fender gap in front is alot more than whats in the rear.
Its just the arches that give that illusion. Has a good/slight rake to it now!
No, although i wish my wallet would let me :/ Just H&R's that were yopped...
You know it! and took these for you.
Hey man, they are H&R's all around... I cut 1 3/4 coils off the rear! Rides excellent in the rear and not so much the front haha...
Thank you sir!
So a year ago, i purchased HID's for the touring, then my older brother snagged em and I had stock halgens ever since.
Got annoyed after a year, and purchased brand new HID's... (55Watt 6500k HIDS) and new LED license plate light bulbs since my left one burnt out
and a shot of all the upgraded lights in the car
-HID Headlights
-SSE34 LED Interior Lights
-Custom Footwell LED Lights
-License plate LED Lights
Never really realized how much camba i have, but here are some photos i took...
(i know i need spacers, those will be here next week before socal euro)
Went canyon carving with some friends down in mexico and went full HOONIGAN mode
Air'd out real quick...
got some dope shots out of it, had a fun time, and was able to spend a whole day chilling with bros...
*got new tires thrown on like two weeks ago ^ so it was mandatory
anyways, have a huge car show (SOCAL EURO) next weekend,
so expect the swagon to get fancied up and what not for it.
Thanks for reading yet again!

wow
"...full hoonigan mode... air'd out..."????
In the 530i 5 speed Touring...???
I am shocked, shocked to hear about such shenanigans, and in Mexico no less...
I actually had to look up the word hoonigan. Urban dictionary:
hoonigan: noun, see hoon or hooning: a person who participates in any type of reckless driving including but not limited to drifting, drag racing, and burnouts; "did you see that car blow by?", "...stupid hoonigan."

haha...
New wheels
specs are:
19x9 in the front & 19x10 in the rear.
Yes, i think that 19's are overkill, but the fitment and faces look stunning on the touring so i cant complain
today's agenda (that I didn't finish) involved ripping apart the wagon objective being:
1) Cleaning/Polishing
2) Organizing/Wire Tucking
3) Fixing three power steering leaks
4) Replacing the broken auxiliary fan finally
4) Replacing Alternator w/ Refurbished Bosch Unit
wires everywhere, no organization, dirt everywhere.... definitely a no go.
this was one of the MAIN power steering leaks,
yeeeesh i mean wow did this sucker cause me lots of money lol
another look at the leak...
replacing the auxiliary fan
took out the bumper crash beams to clean
we picked up a parts cleaner for our garage (50$) and I was the first to put it to use
more on how those came out tomorrow, but the mess at the end of the day
(before being cleaned up of course)
and what makes me feel like today was a successful day
still have lots more to do for tomorrow and have lots of parts on order.
will update as soon as im finished.
Thanks for reading!
Loving the clean engine bay. You a one motivated "hoonigan"...

see, some cars can pull off 19's! I always wondered what well fitted 95's would look like. they look awesome!
-Alex
i agree. the first ass shot is money.
-Alex
thanks guys! their growing on me **bimmerick, that is hilarious.
as for the continuation of the current situation:
-OE Refurbished BOSCH 140AMP alternator got shipped in this morning and was picked up about an hour ago
-New VDO Blower Motor was picked up as well
-Picked up a few new power steering lines
Everything's good to go, also picked up a tent so that I could work through the sun and not get burnnnnnt like I did last time.
Expect a huge picture update later tonight or sometime tomorrow!
Here's what was left of the whole segment.
The power steering leak had actually rotted away the paint, so it was cleaned up. Here are some before and after pictures.
the old blower motor didn't blow @ speeds one through three and was a lawn mower on four,
so a new unit was sourced and installed.
this is how it looked when I did the cabin filter acoupla months ago as well
have no clue what the pink stuff is ...
The next morning I borrowed a tent from a friend so that I wouldn't get burnt again.
Fire Wall Plate back on and cleaned
OEM Bosch 140amp Alternator that was re-furbished by Bosch and comes with lifetime warranty,
Sooooo clean
The electrical connector got ripped off when removing the old alternator,
so a new end was crimped back on and sealed.
w/o alternator and various bits
w/ alternator, all nice and snug
darkness doesn't stop me .
New stuff. Hose Clamps, CHF 11S Power steering fluid that's expensive as ____
coolant, and special high pressure BMW power steering hoses.
Solution to one of the three power steering leaks.
The second. New Hose and New Clamps.
Sitting right @ home.
How things looked at the end of the night.
Next morning the car was all ready to go, just had to top off fluids, pick up mess, and finally turn her over.
BLAM! Running No leaks, Alternator charges better than ever, and the blower motor runs like a champ.
Side by side with my brothers beeeeater 525i that gets abused maintenance wise.
lookin real purdy
This annoyed me. I've had my check engine light on since we've bought the car.
Have yet to run stomp test again, but @ 149,639 miles my check engine lights on.
.2 miles later, its off. then another .4 miles later, guess what. Its back on?
Going to purchase a code reader/oil light reset tool soon. Cant be smogged with check engine light on.
Had a friend come over to test fit my old wheels...
Ended up going to take some photos now that my car was in at least running order.
Not bad, really loved my tire size selection though on the wheels. They look good on his e46.
Couldn't have been a shoot w/o the touring.
Except the legit photos are being edited and will be uploaded at a different point in time.
Love these 19's so much, looks so proper on the car.
Haha the front end was literally just thrown on.
the fitment is b-e-a-utiful.
Looks awesome, cant wait to get the car up to complete spec to be able to go out and get some legit photos...
Thanks for reading guys, hope you enjoyed yet again!
