Hey all, I have an issue that I'm trying to solve. I got my 2009 328i halogen headlights done by FlyRyde. I like how the lights turned out, but I was told that I was supposed to have an ERROR FREE conversion. This process took FOREVER and now that everything is installed I'm getting all the warning lights on my dashboard and what was supposed to be an ERROR FREE system, doesn't work . Below is a list of what was installed and my main question is will a CANBUS BALLAST do the trick to get rid of the warning lights on my dashboard? Thanks!
The cost to open and reseal BMW Headlights which are permasealed, with 1 year warranty.
Adding mini h1 projectors to headlight housings 1
Mini Morimoto Bi-Xenon Projectors (pair)
Morimoto 3Five HID bulb only
Morimoto 3five Slim Ballast
Chrome E46 Projector Shrouds for retrofits
Removal, prep, prime, and paint of the Chrome Shroud inside a light housing.
Removal, prep, prime, and paint of the Chrome Bezel inside a light housing.
Orion V4 OEM look LED Angel Eyes
Mounting of the Angel Eyes per pair.
Connecting 1 wire from an accessory light, to 1 internal wire inside the 4 housing
No experience with E90s but on the E39, a canbus ballast solved the issue of the warning lights. Another option is going to the dealer or finding an indy that can get into BMWs lighting system computer and select the option for HID lighting. Since your car came from the factory with halogen, the computer is set to halogen.
Did you ever get it resolved? FlyRyde is a mess!
