    E31 Luggage Set

I recently moved from Germany to the US and sold my car just before I left. I have a 850 luggage set and few other items I'm going to be putting on ebay soon but would like your thoughts on what you think the value is. It's in mint condition.

slept it over for one night and there are several things I want to tell/ask you...

THX for your support when some guys in the U.S. wanted things for their 8`s and the shipping cost where barefaced for privates!

THX for your support when I needed M73-specific answers, especially about Olav´s chips...

I wonder where the luggage set is, but if it is still in Germany or the shipping costs to Germany are not abnormally, but please give me an idea of what you want for it via PM!

    THX in advance!

From the official BMW picture I'd say the full set won't fit in the trunk of a car with cd changer.

But looks like tonys' set is just two cases and a golf trundler, so should fit fine.

    Nice luggage.

Thanks for the recognition and kind words Harry. My wife and I both miss Germany already and if the US doesn't prove to be a good fit for us, we'll be returning. So far this is, to say he least, quite an adjustment.

@ kiwiCSI - This set is a complete set as per the documentation. The picture in the brochure shows and states you can fit two sets in the boot. It will fit with the CD changer option. The picture has them spread apart as much as possible to fill all available space. I envy the guy/gal who has this worry

I should just buy fanny packs and baseball bats and all kind of stuff and but BMW emblems on them. Just kidding! Seriously though would you buy that if it didnt say BMW?

Surely you can see why a luggage set designed specifically to fit the E31's trunk would be considered useful?

it is interesting, if you read the brochure this luggage was not designed specifically for the 8 series...it says it fits all BMW's except the Z1...and thanks Tony for all you have done for those over here when needing parts from Germany!

Sure that's a plus.... Although with the triangular shape I dunno if you can really fit more stuff. And they just look like regular department store quality... at least to my eye. Besides, e31 trunk is huge!

All I'm saying is if you saw those at Macys and they didn't say BMW but fit thr trunk, would you buy thrm?

Anyone want to buy my original owner manual on cassette?

PS - just my opinion op. Which no one seems to like these days(realife too) lol. Im sure they sre very collectible.

Not sure if I'd buy these, but I have to admit they are pretty cool - kind of funky and retro at the same time.

"tonys" - if this luggage originally came with your car, why did you not sell the set with it - was the new buyer not interested?
As a buyer this would appeal to me if I was wanting to keep the car original.

Then again, you should have no trouble selling it as a 'collectible' item - let us know the listing details.

I acquired the luggage a year or two after I bought the car. I offered it to the buyer but he wasn't even interested in looking at it. He also passed on the winter wheel/tire set mounted on OEM throwing stars and I advertised those as part of the deal! He said he wouldn't take the car out of his barn in the winter anyway. Got to admire the guy for not wanting something he new he'd never use and didn't want the hassle of storing or selling.
