Thought maybe this would be a good place for this since it is a none bmw engine.
Did an engine swap with a late 90's serpentine system sbc 350 into a 82 crossfire injected z28... Body sat for many yrs... Factory was a 305 v-belt setup.
My problem is that when i start the engine the steering wheel is forced to one side and takes massive amounts of force to turn back(with engine running or off).. Also does the same with the lines flip'd going in the steering gearbox...
I can unhook lines and push fluid from the gearbox and the wheel turns easy both ways (with the car jacked up of course).
Im puzzled at the moment.
I have done many engine swaps in the past 20yrs mixing all types of gearboxes and pumps but have never had this happen, any thoughts would be appreciated thanks.
