Are these powdercoated, anodized, rattle canned, etc? I'm on the wall about buying one, I wish the sheet metal was a bit thicker, but the design looks awesome.

I don't know who came up with the sheet metal talk, these are all alluminum, and very sturdy, any bigger would be just overkill, adding not needed weight.. They are painted, but you can powder coat if you choose to.

Looks good. Does it extend out under the diff, or does it stop before the diff?

I wonder how this would look on a non ///m rear . . . not sure it would fit directly, but im sure it would with a little modification. Hmmmmmmmmm I like this idea

Would it take a lot of effort to remove if someone was removing their muffler?

^No offense but those pics are so dark you're not showing anything.

If you can adjust your camera or post edit and brighten up the shadow area it would do your pics more justice.

Anyway, how was it to install?

I'm on the same boat as m3mobbin, I also wish it was a bit thicker. It seems thin and wavy but that's just my opinion from what I see. As well, I guess I'm pretty anal (no homo) about clean lines, and I understand these are hand mad, but these are just my little gripes that I personally see.

I'm no racer and never had a real diffuser, so maybe they all bow, but it doesn't look appealing when it hangs.

Don't get me wrong, in this photo it looks real strong and sturdy.

You can't flex it when its bolted up to the car

The things you are pointing out happen when someone is making these things by hand, you can only be so perfect.

There are some people who can't be pleased.

LOL, dude. If you are that anal go pay 1200+ for the dtm fiberworks one. This is a piece that is going under the car and is barely noticeable to most people and you're complaining about thickness?? It is already strong a shit, and as long as it is installed correctly there will be no flex that would affect anything aerodynamically. I think you are giving too much effort to make this diffuser look bad, and even making a video of it?? These pieces are assembled in a small garage and all pieces are cut by hand, so I did not expect laser cut quality. I have the most respect for Mateo for the creativity he has and the talent that he produces out of that little garage. Such a motivated dude!

So, how much are these? I agree bad ass. I had one on my RX7 FD and it flexed prior to install and last couple bolts installed. Then was rock solid when fully installed.

My only question is where does the air go that gets on top? or maybe from the pictures its hard to see that it cant get up there. on my fd, it had sections that curved around front part of fuel tank and eliminated a parachute effect.

This is a gorgeous piece and Im pretty interested if price is right. Nice job.
